Elliot at ziti’s Grey street, Newcastle was amazing. Excellent customer, nothing was too much trouble and as gluten free customers, that’s is rare to find. Elliot is a Wonderful human, the food was incredible. Love the pasta crisps too and we can’t wait to visit again - thanks
Went for tea after receiving a £15 birthday gift card from the restaurant group. Was a lovely evening, gluten free pizza and fries. Chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. Very nice.
First visit and wow I enjoyed it all the service I received from Laura was great explaining they have separate fryers etc as I have coeliac disease and the food tasted amazing Thankyou
Brilliant service, we were asked when we arrived if there were any dietary or allergy concerns - I stated I have Coeliac and they gave me a lot of information about how they have separate GF fryers, showed me how to find the allergen menu and even advised me not to steal a waffle fry from my boyfriend as they’re not gluten free! Caitlin served us and she was fab, really helped explain everything and made me so comfortable. Ideal for anyone gluten free!
Service and quality of the food was excellent, however the increase in price since my last visit was a shock. Other restaurants on Dean Street and Grey Street charge around £12 for pizzas, Prima is now £18... and £5 extra for gluten free option is disappointing. I'll be looking at alternative restaurants next time.
Lovely pizza restaurant. Plenty of gluten and dairy free options. Knowledgeable staff. Could of done with more staff on when we went as it took a while to get attention once our pizzas were finished and we wanted pudding. Lovely vibe to the place.

Cannot stress how exceptional the service is here. Lovely staff, couldn’t do more for us. I have coeliac disease and must follow a gluten free diet and they were very accommodating. We did the lunch deal which is great value for money! Hot and sour soup and the lemon chicken were devine. The restaurant itself is lovely with table divider curtains which make it nice and intimate. The tables are very spacious and have a lazy susan which I love, it makes it so easy for sharing. We will definitely be back!!
Gracie excellent and catered to our dietary needs celiac and vegan and no rolled eyes as we usually get elsewhere. Excellent service at the Kenton Bank
Fantastic hidden gem. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and they cater for everything, vegan, gluten free (which can be hard to find) vegetarian, and us regular eaters.
They have a brilliant range of ales and beers they are definitely worth trying out, they are happy to give you a taste before you buy any pints.
Really is worth a visit if you ever that way down the Ouseburn 🙂
The food and drink here was excellent. Service was tremendous too! They were able to adapt the menu for my coeliac disease so it was definitely and safely gluten free. Sat on the terrace and watched our food cook on the bbq. Lush!

Jesmond Dene House Saved Our Wedding – The Best Day of My Life!
We had our wedding at Jesmond Dene House on 10 May 2025, and it was truly the best day of my life. After a heartbreaking experience with another venue cancelling just 8 weeks before our wedding, we were devastated. But Jesmond Dene House stepped in and completely turned everything around—they quite literally saved our day.
From the moment we got in touch, the team was incredible. A special thank you to Hannah, our amazing event planner, who was supportive, encouraging, and so genuinely invested in making our day perfect. She guided us through every step with such warmth and professionalism, and by the end, she felt like a true friend.
The venue itself is stunning, but it’s the people who make it exceptional. The entire team went above and beyond to make everything feel personal and seamless. There were a few small hiccups on the day (as there always are!), but the staff handled everything so calmly and quietly that we barely noticed (and our guests did not at all!). Nothing was too much trouble, and their calm, caring presence made all the difference.
The food was absolutely outstanding—elegant, delicious, and beautifully presented. What made it even more special was that the entire menu was tailored to be 100% gluten free and coeliac-friendly for all our guests. That level of care and attention meant the world to us.
From start to finish, Jesmond Dene House made us feel so looked after. The love, joy, and magic of the day will stay with us forever. We are endlessly grateful to the whole team for making our wedding so unforgettable.

Only positive things to say from this dinner. The Chardonnay by the glass was delicious, which we had alongside the padron peppers and garlic aioli. We shared the scallops, perfectly cooked and the sauce was great. Highly recommend the cauliflower, it had the perfect amount of cheese and well seasoned. The duck was beautiful and the turbot was good also. Being gluten intolerant, the staff were extremely helpful in adjusting the menu to meet our requirements. It makes sense that they’re on the Michelin guide!! Portions aren’t huge but I was full at the end anyways.
We happened to call in here on the way to see a band. There was a great female singer on. Not sure if this is every Saturday night, but was nice to hear some music.
We looked at the menu and as I am GF this place has a great selection of non gluten containing foods.
The drink selection was excellent and prices reasonable.
Would definitely go back.
Delicious food and very attentive staff! We were served by Angela who was so lovely and informed us about everything. As someone who is gluten intolerant i felt very safe making my choices and really enjoyed our visit! Set lunch menu is great value!
I really want to give this place 5 stars as it is amazing, and the food they have to offer looks so good.
HOWEVER as a gluten free vegan I was left with very little choice (a bit like being vegetarian back in the 90’s/00’s with only that ONE veggie lasagna as a choice). What I did get (jackfruit shawarma minus bread) was very delicious. More gluten free options needed.
