The food is so good!! I went with a friend and we got the peanut stew, bean stew and rice, akasa, and the fufu. It was my first time having fufu I loved it!! Tastes similar to mashed potatoes, next time I go I’ll get that with the peanut stew, they went together so well. My friend is vegan and gluten free and hates having to be the picky one asking questions, but the server was super polite and answered all the questions we had about the ingredients. They have enough vegan and gluten free options to satisfy that crowd, even though they don’t advertise it. My only suggestion would be to add vegan/gluten free symbols to the menu so people don’t have to ask, or worse, not order y’all’s delicious food bc they aren’t sure and don’t want to ask! Already craving another peanut stew and fufu!!! Thank you!!

The Detroit pizza with old and new world pepp was unbelievable! Zesty sauce but nothing that led to heartburn or bothered the kids. This is the best pizza i have ever had thats more deep dish in last 12 yrs since celiac! Super fun vibey place! And incredibly reasonable. Get 4 slices for gf and i coupd only eat 2 fyi. The family salad with homemade ranch is the BEST!!
This place is amazing! My server Paulina was super nice and helpful! The drinks were great and the food was amazing. So cheap for food of such amazing quality, I will definitely be back! Also I noticed they had quite a few gluten free menu items!
An incredible dining experience. Super high quality food and great atmosphere. We sat at the chefs counter and our server, Ryan, was fantastic - both attentive and kind. Incredibly accommodating to food allergies, we had a lot of options and a great gluten free meal.

Chartreuse was an excellent dining experience. I ate with a large work group, and everything was spectacular. From the entrees to the salads and desserts, everything was delicious with unique options and good flavors. It was also able to accommodate celiac gluten free and vegan options for our groups. I highly recommend their Mocktails and homemade cola.
Ottava Via in Detroit’s Corktown is a cozy Italian spot with a rustic vibe and friendly staff. The brick oven pizzas are a hit—especially the Funghi and Margherita—and the garlic shrimp appetizer is a must-try. They offer gluten-free pasta options at no extra charge, which is a nice touch. The outdoor patio with bocce ball courts and fire pits adds a fun twist. Service is generally great, though it can get busy on weekends, so plan ahead. Overall, a solid choice for a relaxed night out.

The food was great. We went there for Sunday brunch and it is hard to talk since it was very noisy. The server was very kind and tell us which ones are gluten free.
The staff is amazing, the bar is good. The food selection includes gluten free and is well rounded. However, the food can be hit or miss depending on who is working the kitchen. Tonight was a miss. Other nights are great!
Atmosphere was amazing, such a cool place. Unfortunately my filet was WAY overcooked, shells in the lobster bisque, and cocktails were all sickly sweet. Still a good experience but for such an amazing location I would hope for a better dining experience. Also some confusion about gluten free options which left me nervous as someone with Celiac but luckily I ate the filet, bisque, and Panna Cotta and was fine after.

Love the Lager House, Sam is an awesome bartender and the food selection is uniquely extensive for the area. I highly recommend the crispy tofu! They also have gluten free and vegan options
Their menu highlights fresh & in season items that are locally sourced (huge win in my book), and they have something for all of my friends with various dietary considerations. Gluten free? Lactose intolerant? Vegan? Halal? They'll feed you something awesome. I have brought friends here again and again simply because 1) I know they're not going to get this same experience anywhere else 2) I know they'll love the food 3) it gives me an excuse to come back
The chef & staff really makes you feel like you're at their home and you're an esteemed guest! Learn about Moroccan tea service with a tall pour, try a fun new seasonal drink or a non-alcoholic wine, or attend one of the many celebratory nights hosted at Saffron.
As a long time guest, I will continue to frequent this place for the incredible flavors & the welcoming service. This restaurant has truly changed my perspective on learning about cuisine, experiencing new flavors, & being part of a community.
SheWolf is an amazing experience from start to finish.
Service 5/5 - The staff promptly greeted us at the door, we were a bit early so they asked if we would like a drink while we waited. They have a nice standing area to put your jackets and a place to put your drinks while you wait. After a few minutes we had drinks in hand and enjoying the night.
Once we were sat (at the bar) the bar tender explained the menu extensively to my fiancé who is gluten free, and my god did they have a lot of options! You could tell every staff member was well versed in the offerings and their passion was seen throughout the entire experience.
Drinks 4/5 - Overall we loved our drinks, I had a few off menu cocktails and my fiancé had champagne and wine, I feel like SheWolf isnt fully utilizing their skilled bartenders with a very small cocktail menu. I think they could push a little here and it would make it 5/5.
Food 5/5 - Literally every dish was just the right portion, and seasoned to perfection. We were able to share an app, both had Pasta, and Fiancé was amazed how good their gluten free pasta was. Dessert was also amazing. What we loved is we felt great after having all these dishes. Could I of eaten more? Yes! But I prefer exactly how they do it because now I just want to go back :D !
Overall, the vibe of the restaurant is great, you can feel the passion with the staff members, and an excellent date night. Easy on-site parking, and close enough to downtown you could drive a few minutes to have a night out after an amazing dinner.
We WILL be back!
Very safe for celiacs needing to eat gluten free. Great food we will be back. A mix of Cuban/Latin American. If you go before a 7pm Redwings game, go at 5pm to get a seat. We loved the chicken and beef Fritas. GF eater had chicken verde bowl. Next time, we’ll order the mayo on the side for the sandwiches, they add a lot and it gets messy. Also, we loved the plantains, but not the loaded ones, because the beans are really spicy. Large groups consider getting the bucket of beers or the fishbowl cocktails because it packs up before games or events and it is hard to get the second drink.
The food was absolutely excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The view was absolutely excellent. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars in every single category is that I did mention I have a gluten allergy, and there was one small gluten item that was missed in the dessert that I ordered. Otherwise, the staff was very proactive and swapped out gluten-free options without my direction throughout the meal. And once again, all the food was wonderful.
Visited Bakersfield for the first time. Evan provided us with exceptional customer service. Their vegetarian and gluten free options make this a good spot for groups.
Absolute fantastic experience. Patrick our server was extraordinary. The salad to main dish to dessert. Excellent and on par and exceeded our expectations even with gluten allergy. Thank you. Everything was thoughtful, wine selection was wonderful, desserts….. amazing. I would put the visit here as one of my top ten food experiences. We will be back when in Detroit.
Really neat place. Trendy and comfy atmosphere. Really appreciate the variety of food and the ability to accommodate all allergies and diets, from vegan to gluten-free.
Super cute and peaceful atmosphere. The service was great. My gluten-free sandwich was delicious. I just ran here on lunch, but I plan to bring my husband and kiddo soon.
Besa is quickly becoming my favorite spot in Detroit. Our server last night went above and beyond to go over the menu, provide great service, and help my friend navigate gluten free options. He had great recommendations and helped to course out our orders. My wine-knowing friend loved the wine selection. The food is incredible—at my table of 6, we covered quite a bit of the menu, and everyone was satisfied. A few of us started with the Village Salad, at our server’s suggestion, and it was unbelievably good. How could a cucumber-based salad be that good? Just the best. I appreciated that the host sat us downstairs, as it was predominantly a work get-together, so it was easy to talk and discuss in the quiet environment. I really cannot recommend Besa enough and will be back the next chance I get. 10/10
The burger was delicious! I loved all of the options especially the avocado and egg. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries in my opinion. The service was great too - the waitress gave excellent recommendations. I would totally return again and recommend. They had wonderful gluten free items and my friend loved the coleslaw.
Really enjoyed this experience especially with 2 vegans and one who is also gluten-free. The staff were so welcoming, accommodating, and the 5 course dinner was really enjoyable!
We stopped here before heading to a Detroit Opera Theatre event and were so glad we did. The menu had so many great selections, and I sure appreciated the gluten free choices and availability of GF buns for burgers and sandwiches. I had the JL Hudson maurice salad and their take on it was absolutely THE BEST I've ever had. Kudos to the chef for giving me a huge reason to come back soon! My niece had the french dip sandwich with their special fries and gave it thumbs up too. Service was friendly and efficient. So glad we stopped at Detroit Beer and look forward to a return visit asap.
We had a wonderful dinner experience at Leña. The ambiance is warm and cozy, with a hint of woodsy scent in the air from the wood-burning oven in the kitchen. The location is tucked away in a quickly growing area of new development in Detroit, and the validated garage parking is a nice touch.
The food was phenomenal, and the service was very friendly and professional. Our party of 6 went family style and tried a little bit of everything!
My recommendations...
The pintxos: romanesco, brochetas (lamb skewers), bacalao (salted cod), cangrejo (crab-stuffed pepper)
Entradas: hongos (mushrooms), calamares
Principales: hipogloso (halibut), bife (steak)
Postres: dark chocolate sorbet
Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were perfect for sharing and experiencing a good variety. Also, they are very accommodating of vegan and gluten free diets, and their lamb and beef are halal. We had an awesome evening at Leña and it's definitely on my list of top favorite restaurants in the city!!
Portions are generous, and there are options for various dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Overall, it's a solid choice for a quick and satisfying Mexican-inspired meal.
We had an amazing dinner. The food is consistently high quality. The service can be a bit slow sometimes but the servers are knowledgeable, friendly and always very accommodating with dietary restrictions. Our server this time was incredible and made really great food and drink recommendations. My partner has celiac’s and we’ve never had any issues, they’re always very careful to talk to the kitchen. Highly recommend the sea bass and lamb shank. Beautiful decor and ambiance.
Excellent service, delicious food, beautiful ambiance. No gluten-free menu, specifically, but the servers are knowledgeable and they make an in-house gf pasta that was great.
I have a milk allergy and a gluten allergy. The chef was quick to accommodate me! He even gave me a choice of veggies instead of meat for those of you who are vegan. The food was fresh! They don’t have a freezer. It was delicious and plentiful. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Beautiful place, inside and out. Charming atmosphere. The chef is awesome!
An absolutely 10/10, 5 star experience. The GM/owner went above and beyond in every way for me and my loved ones when we came in, he had a very long and genuine conversation with me and my man and best friend. Jason treated baby girl like she was an absolute princess. He gave her Avalon shirts, free dessert, comped one of our appetizers, and even let her pick a mug of her choice to take home. The food was delicious, we got a gluten free pizza, truffle fries, buffalo wings, loaded nachos. The atmosphere is super open and inviting. Additionally- environment was well kept + cleanily. All employees were kind and professional. We will be coming back here soon. Safe to say any and everyone would find a reason to love this place! Thank you, Jason! See you, soon! - Very happy customer.
It's totally my top 5 favorite breweries that has gluten reduced beer!!!
I love the beers that they have, but their vegan and gluten-free food options are extremely limited.... but they are planning on expanding the menu very soon!!!

My new favorite breakfast spot! I’ve been coming here for years, but they upgraded their restaurant and the ambiance is hard to beat now. I love this place so very much! The service is welcoming, friendly and always helpful and the breakfast and coffee are delicious and all for about $5.00! It’s everything a neighborhood needs, a vibrant supermarket and restaurant all in one. They even accommodate to all dietary needs offering gluten free and vegan options to boot!
The restaurant has a great vibe, with a beautiful outdoor patio. The service was also top-notch, and the staff was very accommodating, especially when it came to my gluten-free needs.
While the restaurant doesn't have a dedicated gluten-free menu, the chef was able to make some adjustments to some of the dishes to make them gluten-free. I had a burger without the bun and the kale salad, and both were delicious. However, I would have liked to see more solid gluten-free options on the menu, especially given that the restaurant boasts many healthy fares.
Overall, I had a great experience at Eatóri, and I would definitely recommend it to others. As someone that has celiac disease, however, I would encourage the restaurant to add more gluten-free options to their menu in the future!
So, let me start with: I love this place. Regular or large, the portions are well worth the price, most especially considering the quality of ingredients.
Secondly, I have celiac disease. This is one of the few places I have found that do not get me violently ill. The attention to detail is amazing and I’ve eaten here many times without getting sick. The menus are clearly labeled with allergens and I love it. Full of flavor and safe. Very clean very fresh.
I recommend going in person, over DoorDash or their app, !!!although the app does give you some goodies when you sign up, better than dd meals.
In person is just so much better. The staff is awesome, and they will give you exactly what you want. The flavors are fantastic and quite honestly the amount of allergen info is just a breath of fresh air. I am always hesitant to eat at a new place and I tried it a few months back and I’m so thrilled.
Sometimes the way I get a large or even regular bowl is so deliciously satisfying and filling, it is multiple meals for me. At first I avoided them, the price point seemed high. It’s seriously not. The amount you get and the quality of filling and fresh ingredients is so worth it’s insane.
I’ll tell anyone I can about this place. Their boba tea is great too.
Sorry if this is a jumble of word salad of a review, I’m currently eating their food and just so happy.
Dining at Pao is truely and experience . It’s not just another restaurant, fantastic music by the DJ and live violin player( she was good) . Great atmosphere , amazing drinks and really fab food. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant . As a vegetarian with gluten intolerance , I had a good bit of options to choose from , I wish there were more . The only downside would be that we had to give up our table in 90 mnts and we were having such a good time , I wish it wasn’t so rushed because some people in my group showed late . But it was a delightful experience regardless . I would recommend this place .
Freezing cold when we first sat down but warmed up a little by the time we finished eating. According to my family the gluten free pizza was pretty good. The regular pizza was ok. If you love a butter crust, then this is the place for you. Regular pizza was loaded with butter. A little is ok, way too much for my liking. And the knives don't cut worth anything.
We had a work event here and had a wonderful experience! I worked with Emily to get the event set up and she was so easy to work with! She was very responsive and told us exactly what we needed to know for the event.
We rented the whole upstairs, served pizza, garlic knots and salad and unlocked all of the arcade games.
They had many different options for food that we could have chosen from which was a nice touch, but we decided to go with the pizza. We also had a gluten free team member and Checkers helped us to make sure that person had pizza they were able to eat.
Ashley and Latrell were on staff helping to bring out the food and serving drinks and they could not have been nicer! They made sure the event went smoothly and were there if we needed anything (we didnt). Thank you both so much for your help!
I couldn't be happier with the way this event turned out and we hope to be back soon!
This place makes yummy craft cocktails and has a very unique and hip location. We really liked it but wish they had an
expanded menu. We were dining with someone gluten-free and there was not many choices.
We had been meaning to try Vecino for months, and finally were able to accomplish it this weekend. Parking in Midtown is not always easy, but we were lucky enough to get a spot right out front on the street, the intentional heavy velvet curtain to black out the cold air from the restaurant greeted us at the host stand. We were greeted kindly and seated promptly by whom we thought was a very kind hostess, but ended up being the owner!
The vibe…a 10!!! Perfect lighting, intentional decor, and the smell of santel!
Our server was amazing! Violet took care attention to every detail on the menu and answered all of our questions and even was able to explain with care and ease any dishes my gluten-free boyfriend should stay away from. We enjoyed the chips and the trio of salsa. The one salsa made with peanut butter was unbelievable! Violet was so sweet to give us a small ramekin to go because she saw how much we enjoyed it. I learned that they will be bottling and selling that stuff and I will be the first to buy two bottles!!!!
I started with the Picosa Verde, a perfectly crafted spin on a spicy margarita! Delish!!!!
We enjoyed the octopus appetizer which I would probably rate a 20 on a one to 10 scale. Portion size was huge, taste and presentation was perfection!
The duck enchiladas were beautifully plated and also delicious!
We didn’t have time or room for dessert, but I honestly cannot wait to go back to this amazing establishment!
If you haven’t visited yet, please add it to your list! It will not disappoint!
