She ordered a meal that included gluten free pasta and when it came, the pasta was barely cooked, and it was returned to the kitchen. We worked with Chris Z who is an absolutely phenomenal person. Chris helped us pick out our menu and coordinated everything with us — all the way down to mentioning changes in texture from our usual restaurant experience to general effects of transport/time! Everything was delivered on time and set up perfectly. Even better, it was DELICIOUS and EVERYONE was extremely happy with the options!!! One thing Tapas 177 does exceptionally well is dietary restrictions. They’re very clear about risks with shared fryers but also take great care to label things. The variety on the menu allowed for us to cater gluten free and vegan without settling for things we weren’t interested in. Variety!!! So sorry to my future children but eating a mountain of Tapas 177 spring rolls with my wife on our wedding day is impossible to top. Thank y’all so much!!!!!

I used to have the most amazing experiences here, never had any issues. However I went here for Valentine’s Day and my pasta definitely tasted like regular pasta (if you know, you know). I asked the waitress to check with the cook and since we were sitting right by the kitchen, we saw the chef get mad because they had just closed the kitchen and he didn’t want to make a new meal and said to “just tell her it’s gluten free”. This place was perfect because they have several gluten free and also vegan options for anyone looking for those dietary choices. I started off with the duck wings, which were so much larger than I expected, perfectly crunchy with a somewhat sweet sauce (reminded me of country sweet sauce) which really married the flavors. I chose to have the gnocchi with peas, large thick pieces of fresh pancetta, mushrooms, in a light cream sauce with parmigiana shavings. I needed to add some more seasoning and parmigiana, but ultimately it was good considering it was listed as gluten free. This place is worth a try. It is perfect to go with friends, a romantic dinner, or also great for double dates.
