GREAT gluten free Italian menu - I’ve been coming here for years, the owner is gluten intolerant and most of the menu can be made GF (they have a whole menu) and incredible desserts couldn’t recommend more - find more on @ontheglutenfreemenu on IG & TIKTOK 🧡
My sister has celiac and I have always hated gf food. But the cinnamon rolls are great and taste maybe even better than the gluten-ful counterpart. My sister was kinda sad that they didn't have any iced coffees but besides that this is a great stop.
Wonderful bread shop with a large variety of baked goods and neat, local gifts. The employees are friendly, and they provide samples from their "bread board," which highlights a myriad of their available goods. They have gluten free and limited time/seasonal options as well. Great Harvest's hot sandwiches are a MUST; I cannot recommend it enough.
The food was delicious and the staff is friendly! They have gluten free bread available and free ice cream on tap. I’d recommend the Chipotle Chicken & Avocado Panini.
The Santa Fe Teahouse is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch while exploring Canyon Road and the historic Eastside. The London Fog teas are incredible (try the Santa Fe fog) and the gluten free scones are the best I've ever had. The whole menu is great and the staff are lovely.
Even during the busy breakfast/lunch hour we are always seated quickly. There’s an extensive menu with many gluten free options. Food is delicious and wait staff is quick to check on you. Only downside is the noise level. It’s sometimes difficult to carry on a conversation in certain parts of the restaurant.
This is a commercial bakery with an embedded restaurant.
Parking is off street, in front of the bakery. You go through the bakery shop to get to the restaurant. There was not wait when we visited on a weekday morning.
We got gluten free blue corn blueberry pancakes with pinions, a side of green chili sausage, and a Mediterranean omelet with smashed breakfast potatoes.
The omelet was very tasty, with a healthy portion of feta and kalamata olives.
The breakfast potatoes, baked then smashed and fried crispy were the star of the show.
The green chili sausage was good but not exceptional.
The blue corn pancakes were tasty, with a reasonable portion of pinions on top. Like many gluten free options, they lacked structural integrity. They were almost as good as the equivalent blue corn pinion pancakes at the Flying Tortilla (which are not gluten free).
There was a window to the commercial bake
ry floor in the dining room where we were seated. We enjoyed watching cinnamon rolls being made during breakfast.
It was a little pricey, $50 breakfast for two, but I felt like I got my money's worth.
Usually a line especially on the weekends but it moves at a decent pace. While waiting they have menus available. You order at cashier then sit at your table. Waiter will bring drinks and food. You can add on to order while you eat. When finished they pay. You can order from the bakery on the way out. If they are busy it’s easier to go out of the side door instead of front door.
There are gluten free options available. If you have multiple food allergies you can order from sides where there are many options. There are a lot of drink options as well.
The food is AMAZING here! Me and my family always get some empanadas and arepas. The people who work here are also very nice and helpful. Me and my family are gluten free and dairy free and are able to eat the empanadas and arepas!
The gluten-free options were tasty and greatly appreciated. The staff is inviting and gracious. The building is cozy and warm. We will definitely be back when we're in Ruidoso again!

McAlister's is a popular dining establishment that offers a delightful experience for those seeking delicious food in a comfortable and friendly environment. Having visited McAlister's on multiple occasions, I can confidently say that it consistently delivers a satisfying dining experience.
One of the standout features of McAlister's is its diverse and mouthwatering menu. Whether you're craving a classic deli sandwich, a hearty soup, a fresh salad, or a flavorful spud, McAlister's has you covered. Their menu items are thoughtfully crafted with quality ingredients and unique flavor combinations, catering to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available, making it a welcoming choice for individuals with specific dietary needs.
The service at McAlister's is generally attentive and friendly. The staff members are courteous and eager to assist, ensuring that your dining experience is pleasant from start to finish. Orders are taken efficiently, and the waitstaff is prompt in delivering your food to the table. However, during peak hours, there may be a slight delay in service, which is understandable given the popularity of the establishment.
One aspect that sets McAlister's apart is its inviting and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is typically spacious, allowing for comfortable seating arrangements and ample room for larger groups. The decor is tasteful and welcoming, contributing to an enjoyable dining ambiance. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or colleagues, McAlister's provides a pleasant setting for socializing and enjoying a meal.
The quality of the food at McAlister's is generally commendable. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are well-balanced. The sandwiches are generously filled, and the bread is consistently fresh and flavorful. The soups and salads are equally satisfying, with a variety of options to suit different preferences. Additionally, the spuds, topped with an array of delectable ingredients, offer a unique and filling dining choice.
One area where McAlister's could improve is the speed of service during busy times. Occasionally, long queues or delays in order preparation can occur, resulting in longer wait times. However, it's important to note that the food is made to order, ensuring that it arrives fresh and hot. Patrons should keep this in mind and plan accordingly, especially during peak dining hours.
McAlister's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene is evident throughout the restaurant. The dining area and restroom facilities are well-maintained, creating a clean and comfortable environment for guests. The staff adheres to proper hygiene practices, further enhancing the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, McAlister's is a delightful dining establishment that offers a satisfying experience for those seeking a diverse menu and a warm, welcoming ambiance. With a wide range of delicious options, attentive service, and a comfortable setting, McAlister's stands out as a go-to choice for casual dining. While there may be occasional delays during busy times, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it a worthwhile destination for a satisfying meal
Decided to come here since we just moved to the area, and are always on the look-out for gluten free options. Was happy to see that there are quite a few options on the menu. Our sandwiches were a little on the small side, and my fries were very greasy and soggy. Regardless, the food tasted good, and we will be back, but maybe for lunch next time.
I ordered, confirmed they had gluten-free bread, jump through hoops to pay for my meal with my card since their machine doesn't seem to work. Then the girl from the back comes out and mumbles we are out of gluten-free bread. The girl at the register asks if I want it on regular bread nobody eats gluten-free bread because it tastes good. I said no I can't have it on regular bread. So she blinks at me and says do you want a refund? Honestly it should not even be a question if I want a refund. I certainly don't want to pay for something that you don't have. The only reason I came in what's for the gluten-free option. I went ahead and got the rest of the food order because I had ordered for my whole family. It's just a shame you advertise something and then don't have it. And don't know you don't have it for me it was a waste of time and money
Excellent sandwiches, tasty cookies, PHENOMENAL staff.
This location has several people who have shown enough care and consideration for how sensitive my Celiac husband is that I trust them enough to call in an order and pick it up. There are full blown restaurants I won't do that with.
I have celiac, and after a long day of travel and walking, the last thing I wanted to do was worry about an allergic reaction to food. I’d heard about the gluten free bread from a friend and decided to try it. When I spoke with the employee, he was very kind about telling me the procedures in place to help with the cross-contamination of gluten. I was told there was no way to guarantee a gluten-free experience, which is very expected from a sub location. I decided to get the sandwich anyway and did not have any sort of reaction at all. The sandwich was delicious, the gluten-free bread itself was better than any I had ever had, and I will definitely return to firehouse subs locally. The staff was incredibly understanding and friendly, packaging my sub separately from the other sandwiches in our order and bringing them to our table.
I would love to come back to Firehouse Subs in the future, especially with such an educated and understanding staff. Thank you so much to the staff working here :)
This is a great place to get a sub sandwich! The competition can't even compare to this place! I had a gluten-free bun on a Philly steak sandwich and it was awesome! I definitely recommend this place!! If anybody needs to be gluten-free I would eat here!!
Great place to have a coffee and a sandwich. We stopped on a visit from South Carolina and the owner Kamille offered to make us a breakfast sandwich made with Chaffle (egg and cheese mixed to make waffle as a bread substitute.) Anyway it was awesome and gluten free. Avocado egg tomato and Mayo was delicious. My brother had a regular croissant breakfast sandwich and said it was great also. They make delicious espressos and lattes as well. She has an incredible selection of syrups for lattes! You won’t regret driving out of your way a few miles for this friendly, tasty, local coffee shop!
Super nice staff. They were very helpful. We took the food to go. Got the salads which were okay. :) We will try it again. They have low carb and gluten free options which was great. Walking distance to La Cumbre on the westside which is great. Order on the app and sign up for rewards on the app. :)
One of my favorite places to get a great sandwich sub. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they even showed my wife how to lettuce wrap her sandwiches at home! The place is always clean as well are the bathrooms.
I have tried most sandwiches and they are all great, but my favorite go to is the Gargantuan. As stated before they will lettuce wrap any menu item for those that are gluten free.
This place is great in so many ways! First off, the food is amazing. The food tastes great in you get your sandwich from order to check-out in five minutes. Also, if you have wheat allergies, this place makes great gluten-free bread. The customer service is incredible they are so nice and they get the job done good, and quick. The inside of the place has a nice ,cozy, feel. Amazing place overall, one of my favorite restaurants in ABQ!
