I was there an hour 40mins ago and bought brownie cheesecake slice and a Mince & Cheese pie which they heated up from cold for me, made today apparently. Together they cost me $17.50!!
There are no prices displayed so if you're going here expecting to be satisfied on a typical NZ bakery budget then think again, the gluten free premium is rife here.
Do note the lack of stars on this review reflects only on the pie of which I'm disappointed, I am half way through the pie now and I still haven't tasted the filling. For what I'm guessing is a $9 pie it's not up to par compared to much better pies in the Wellington region that are cheaper and packed to the brim with filling.
Speaking of which I've gotten to the filling at last and it tastes great but still no sign of cheese. Upon finishing the pie now my conclusion is there's less than 1 teaspoon of cheese in this pie.
Sorry guys but my experience of a most basic pie is lacklustre. Unlikely this review will directly affect your high rating but pie wanters should know what to expect.
Quality fish'n'chips, have a gluten free fryer so the coeliac in the family didn't miss out. Super busy at peak times. Recommend ordering online for pick up.
Stopped for some tea and coffee but ended up ordering The Briscoff Dream which took longer than expected and yummy hot chocolate. Beautiful quotes across the cafe. Plenty of gluten free option available. Was a bit crowded and had to stand in line and worth it though.
We stopped into this punk cafe after a movie and were delighted that it was still open and had gluten free options. Seems like a great place to just hang out and enjoy the vibes of the city!
Delicious food and drinks, fantastic service and a really cool vibe. Tonnes of gluten free options which is fantastic. A must if youβre a burger lover in Wellington!
What a find
Food awesome lots of choice
amazing friendly and knowledgeable about menus
Gluten free options and had oat milk so all good
Would highly recommend this cafe
Ten out of Ten for me
The food was beautiful, the injera bread was awesome and the staff so kind. Nice to have a whole vegan menu and pretty much everything was gluten free. Will definitely be back!
Gluten free, onion garlic free, vegan, basically any variety of whole food plant based meal. No added nasty stuff. Feels great while and after eating. My favorite Welly place to eat!
Amazing staff. A real treat with separate fryer for us coeliac people. I had the hashbrown, pesto, avacado and balsamic glaze. Yuuuum!! Loved how many amazing toys there for child-friendly eating
Went here after a ceremony, food was fast and extremely good! Extensive vegetarian and gluten free options and amazing service. Had a mix up with the orders and they replaced no questions asked and at no charge- absolutely incredible service. Well worth the money!
Overall good service. New waitress served us wrong meal which had us concerned due to allergies, but we were lucky the meal was ok. Nice food and lots of gluten free options ok for Coeliacs which is a bonus. The food mix up was the biggest concern. A bit more appreciation than a "sorry" would have been appreciated due to the allergy factor. There was a concern initially it wouldn't be ok until we insisted they confirmed with the chef.

Had an excellent gluten free fish and chips. GF batter and dedicated fryer produced a delectable, non-greasy batter-dipped fish and accompanying fries. Super helpful wait person too!
I ordered from here via Uber eats last night. I've recently been diagnosed as celiac, so I can not eat anything with gluten, so I ordered their gluten-free pizza base. When the pizza arrived, it was freezing cold, and half of the entire crust was burnt to a crisp, and the crust was inedible. The pizza was disgusting and I paid an outrageous price ($36.19) for it with no refund. I never had a bad experience with their food before being diagnosed as celiac but this was extremely disappointing and disgusting, I will not be going back.

We had our wedding reception here and it went amazingly. Their venue coordinators are excellent and covered everything perfectly. Such an easy venue to book for events.
The sliders were delicious and they clearly marked the gluten free options for our guests.
The rear room (venue room) has great sound and lighting setups which can easily be adjusted as we liked. We will likely hire out again for future events.
It was delightful. Thanks so much for the excellent service. Food was great, Gluten free options were mean and the kids were welcomed with smiles. That doesn't always happen!
We had a fantastic brekkie here and highly recommend this wonderful spot. Great menu with several coeliac-friendly options. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive to detail. I had the hot smoked salmon eggs Benedict and loved the GF bread used as the base. I only like super-hard poached eggs and these guys cooked them perfectly. The coffee (Havana) is great and the room has a funky and relaxed vibe, with a great outlook over Lyall Bay beach and the airport. You can watch planes and ferries come and go while you relax! We got a GF lemon and blueberry cheesecake to take away for later - absolutely delicious. We will be back next time weβre in Wellington!
Great allergy menu and clear confidence with coeliac-safe GF. Best GF pizza dough Iβve ever had! Cheesecake also super yummy. One very happy coeliac!!
Donut is INSANE! π€€ Perfect coffee too!! all their food is really delicious π€€π€€ itβs also gluten free, diary free and mostly vegan. They have nailed it. World class and in Kena Kena ππ highly recommend
We booked a table for 9, for a graduation dinner.
Our table was ready on time.
We were promptly seated, our drink orders were taken, and any questions answered.
Then we were left to browse the menu.
Our orders were taken shortly after, pizzas, pasta, and steaks all round (including catering for gluten free).
The food arrived quickly given the busy night.
The portion sizes were large
The temperature was good
The quality and taste was great.
Despite being incredibly full, some of us opted for dessert, and we weren't disappointed.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was a bother.
Considering there were some fussy eaters at the table, a great night had by everyone.
Would recommend, and we'll be back.
As a really reactive coeliac, Iβm always on the lookout for reviews that help me eat safely. Iβd love to help out another coeliac! Fratelli was a lovely experience in all aspects! Staff were reassuring polite, and helpful on the phone, and catered for me beautifully. Attentive, polite, and knowledgeable service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Great wine. We ate here for 2 of the 3 nights we were in Wellington. Delicious pasta and pizza, plus sides. I didnβt experience any symptoms and felt secure that no cross contamination would occur. If we visit Wellington again, Iβd be keen to go again! Itβs rare to feel so safe and Iβm frothing for how safe and lovely our evenings were! Thoroughly recommend.
For a colleagues farewell we had a group of 12 on a Wednesday evening from 6pm. They accommodated us with two booth type tables and it was very comfortable.
One diner is coeliac and when the order had a gluten item, staff didn't make a fuss when it was sent back politely. So that's really nice.
Service was friendly and efficient, clearing our table quickly and checking for drink or food orders often.
It wasn't too busy, nor too loud and the atmosphere was cosy. Paying at the end was simple and efficient, they operate their cashier system well.
All told for a large group dining experience I thought it was successful and staff did a great job. Thanks for a great night team.
Burger Wisconsin in Paraparaumu is hansdown the best takeaway food joint I have ever been to. Me and my family went for a road trip to Paraparaumu today and decided we would stop here for lunch straight of the bat as a young teen boy with a dairy allergy, I was treated with a friendly atmosphere with highly respectfull, kind, empathetic and understanding stuff. I was allowed to create my own burger that wasn't specifically on the menu that was gluten and dairy free, with staff double checking. The food was more than amazing and well worth the price, which may seem a little bit steap at first but let me tell you, for ingredients that are handmade right at the shop, dietary inclusivity and understanding and outstandingly tasty burgers it is well worth it. The only downside is the space of the restaurant being a little small and cramped which meant we had to do takeaway but that didn't bother us. It is safe to say I will be recommending burger wisconsin to my family and will definitely be returning to burger wisconsin when i return to Paraparaumu next.
