I stopped in, eager to pick up some gluten free pastries. Also, i have someone close to me that is on the spectrum and wanted to see what it was like so i could suggest to them a new job opportunity. I had a closed bag from Tous de Jours with macaroons in it and woman emerged from the back of house and scolded me "you cant have that bag in here because you will send our customers to the hospital!!" ... I was so shocked that I just walked out.
Macaroons are typically gluten free, and to think... there were no other customers in the store aside from me and my sister. I will not recommend it as a work place for someone on the spectrum because I wouldn't want them to be subjected to such rudeness. Unfortunately I will not be back and I will spread the word around the community.
And I read some of the responses and the attitude is disturbing and all the reviews must be from interactions not involving the woman I encountered. I couldn't wait to see what i got as a reply. I love to see this woman make excuse for horrible service. Instead of being polite and saying "ma'am, you cannot bring outside food in here" she did absolutely scold me and my bagged gluten free macaroons were in another closed bag. And I dont like when people bring up God and try to use his name to demean others. Gluten free double bagged macaroons CANNOT send anyone to the hospital. Please educate yourself and take a lesson of good manners for the sake of those you say you're trying to help. My rating was based on the single reaction I had with you and it's a shame because first impressions matter. I thought you were having a bad day but it just seems natural for you to have a nasty defensive attitude instead of apologizing for the bad experience and encouraging me to come back to try again.
A great place to get small plates! We came here to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday and it’s such a cozy restaurant to escape the cold in during this time of the year. I thought the fireplace on tv was a cute touch.
I highly recommend ordering the Chef’s Tour Boards. There’s more of a cohesion of flavors and the items are partnered well in the pre-set menu. We ordered the Vegetarian Board, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The blistered brussel sprouts was the star of the meal for us! It was crisp and flavored so well.
We also ordered an assortment of small dishes to share such as the deviled eggs, savory shrooms (a favorite of mine), lobster quesadilla, ahi tacos, little lambs, pork belly bites, and few more items. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, service was great, and I always appreciate a menu with a legend for dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan dishes.
My family and I have been coming here a few years now when in the area. Every time the quality is amazing! Freshly made pizzas, offers BYO gluten/dairy free options, good portions, and fairly priced! Service is also amazing always quick n friendly! Asked for extra aloi on my shitakii pie and they delivered! (Top was almost covered in it) wish one was closer to me! Will continue to eat here when i can!
The owner/chef takes great pride in serving excellent cuisine. He explained his dishes to us, and made us feel so welcome. Great gluten-free selection as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Fast and tasty! My son and I had a ham and pineapple pizza with vegan cheese on the vegan gluten free crust and it was delicious! The rest of the family had traditional pizzas and said they were also tasty!!
Our experience here was fantastic. The food was equally fantastic.I love that this place offers allergy options such as gluten free and accommodates other allergies. They offer something for vegans too
Great atmosphere, great food, great service...we had a wonderful time taking in all the sites. Check out the pictures.
Information from the website. Hundreds of Swarovski crystals glisten on so many chandeliers, including a massive shower of light over the bar, which is separated from the dining area by a gold-sequined rope.
Behind grand French doors, the bakery area serves several different flavors of Cake Bake's towering, signature layer cakes, including gluten-free options, plus pies, macarons, and other desserts
I came into town for work and knew I could find gluten free options at cafe patachou. Loved the gluten free avocado toast! Service was quick and friendly.
A different kind of Mexican food! Loved it! The vegetarian tacos and bowl were the best I ever had. Nice blend of sweet and spicy. Availability of gluten free option makes it more special. Plenty of sitting area. Only street parking. Quick service and friendly staff.
Don't know what happened, this place use to be great, maybe it was an off-day but my experience was terrible today. The waiter forgot to put in our coffee, we weren't served water, food came out with nothing to drink. My gluten free toast was stale and as hard as a cracker, my extra hollandaise was missing, the coffee was either burnt or had sour milk. The food came out tepid at best.
Hopefully it was just a bad day, but wow. What a fall from grace if this is the new norm.
Literally the best cupcakes I've ever had. The banana bread and zucchini bread are amazing too! Can't wait for the cafes to open soon!
If you love baked goods, this is the place to go. Regardless if you're gluten free or not. I'm not and I love this place!
Best 🍕 (Dr. Jones & Grandma's Money) is & a gluten free w goat cheese option for my mother. I have not seen her face light up like that in a long for what looks like normal 🍕 but special for Mom! The 🍻 selection is delicious!! Ryan, our server kicked arse! We shall be back!
The food was served quickly. They weren't very busy so it was quiet. The burgers were fantastic as well as the gluten free bun!! It is very hard to find decent gluten free breads and we weren't disappointed. The kids enjoyed the root beer floats as well as their balloons to go.
My family and I stopped in for lunch on our way home from the airport on a Saturday around noon. The restaurant was fairly busy, but the hostess gave us a friendly greeting and we were seated right away.
Our server was great. He took our drink order and quickly returned to answer our questions and to take our food order. As we waited on our food, our server came back to refill our drinks was attentive.
Our food arrived after close to an hour wait. My wife’s cheese melt on a gluten free bun was made with a regular bun so we had to send it back and have it remade.
The overall appearance of our orders was good, as were the flavors. The portion sizes were large.
It wasn’t a perfect experience but overall it was good. We’ll be back.
This was a great breakfast/lunch place that we'd never heard of. We actually ended up eating here 2 days in a row. The food choices overall are good, and there should be something for everyone. The food itself was really good both trips. My one complaint would be that my omelet the first day was a little dry or overcooked but other than that everything else was spot on. Plus this is one of the first breakfast places ive been that actually had gluten free toast. Everyone in our party seemed satisfied and no one was left hungry.
Visited for the first time in honor of my birthday, and Prime 47 did not disappoint! Prime 47 has been on my bucket list, and it quickly moved to the top after viewing the menu and seeing the plethora of gluten-free options. My sister and I had the Ahi Tuna and Waygu Beef Tenderloin with Wasabi mashed potatoes and Asparagus with hollandaise sauce, which was absolutely amazing. The gluten-free chocolate molten lava cake was rich, decadent, and a true experience!
We had a fantastic dinner here! Our waitress, Katy, was excellent. She was able to tell me all the gluten-free options on the menu. The menu had so many good options it was hard to decide! The atmosphere was great as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
An item on the menu was denoted as gluten free and it was not, resulting in severe illness due to celiac disease. When the restaurant was called and notified, they said the GF next to the item was actually only referring to a footnote indicating that options were available. I told the manager that the GF next to an item usually means that it is gluten free at every restaurant in which I have ever dined. I also stated that this confusion resulted in illness and that the menu should be clarified immediately. I will not be dining here again due to their laissez faire attitude toward this serious issue.
We’re done with pizza. We are a calzone family now. This place is amazing. The staff is super helpful and friendly. All our food was delicious. The gluten free calzone dough is INCREDIBLE. Great selection of craft soda on tap. We will be back again and again.
Updating after our most recent trip - We were, again, blown away at how delicious the food was and how kind and attentive the staff is. The manager (owner I assume based on how attentive he was and how much he cared) made sure my food was safe (Gluten free) and delicious! They allowed my grandma and mom to ask questions and gave recommendations based on what we like. I would happily give them 10 stars if Google would let me!
A nice place to grab a delicious lunch. Clean, quick service, friendly staff, excellent selection of dishes on the menu, and it was nice to see a few gluten-free and dairy-free options were available.
On a sunny morning on May 7th I came into Rosie's Carmel based on a recommendation of their delicious gluten free options. Joy! As the gentlemen in front of me was being sat up front, after being asked if he wanted to sit at the counter or table. A blonde middle aged server acknowledged me and didn't offer me a table option. I was quickly escorted to the very back of the establishment up against a wall facing the kitchen. Which I now realize was the worst seat in the place. She turned and left with barely a word. As the realization washed over me. It was a weekday, so lots of great open seating options. ALL of the other customers were up front. Coming from Hawaii, I understand I live in a bubble of kindness and diversity. And, for the first time in over 50 years of sheltered life, I realized what this felt like. As a strong independent women, I thought I would be able to handle being treated like I was less of a person. I would like to say I was strong. But, I wasn't. I decided to leave, and politely said I had changed my mind. The blonde middle aged lady just said "okay" with a don't let the door hit you on the way out attitude. As a broken women for the day, I ended up at Caffe Buondi. They sat me next to a friendly man with a barbell mustache. We had a conversation and he remarked how I had ordered his favorite, a Monica (Vegetarian) Frittata, served in a cast iron skillet. You see he goes there twice a week, so he knows his stuff. I also had great service at RiZE Carmel, they have a great Veggie Omelette, that comes with their house salad, highly recommend!
This is a very good ramen place in Indianapolis if you are in search for one. The noodles are thick and firm and the broth is spot on for Japanese ramen lovers. The ramens have healthy and gluten free options. I personally ordered the regular tonkotsu ramen and I like it a lot. Our server Austin was very helpful and we appreciate him for it. You can request for him the next time you come!
Absolutely phenomenal service. Our server, Bryce, was so awesome when our toddler lost it like as soon as we were seated because he was ready for dinner. Bryce had the kitchen put in an order of fries before him to snack on while we looked at the menu, and was generally very attentive without being overbearing. He also knew immediately what kind of oil the kitchen used to fry things in and which menu items had gluten in them. I was super impressed
I ordered a fabulous Carrot Cake and gluten free Mexican Wedding Cakes. I highly recommend both.
The owners were former Track and Field Academic/Athletes that I coached at Indianapolis Ben Davis High School 1992-1993. They have persevered through three moves, three grown children and 25 years of marriage. They are African American and Woman owned. I am so deeply proud of them and all of their success.
Their bakery goods are second to none, their response time is within the 48 hours they commit to.
I highly recommend this bakery every time.

This place was very busy for a Friday night.. The food was served warm, yet the portion sizes were smaller than expected. Our dinner group had spaghetti and they noted that the marina sauce was on the sweeter end. I had the gluten-free corkscrew noodles were made of white rice. They didn't hold up well to the alfredo sauce. The location was great and we were able to park in the parking garage located behind the restaurant. Very convenient!
My husband and I went here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and wow we are disappointed we waited so long to come! I am gluten free and they accommodated me with no issue. I enjoyed the oysters on the half shell, grass fed filet with bone marrow butter, brussel sprouts, and the cheesecake for dessert! They gave us a champagne toast and the dessert was complimentary as well. My husband enjoyed his bourbon, flight of beer, and lobster macaroni and cheese. The gluten free bread was AMAZING as well. We will definitely be back! We loved our server, Adam!
This is my favorite pizza in Indianapolis. The Carmel location makes the pizzas better than the Broad Ripple one, so I always go to this one. Sitting on the patio is nice during warmer weather. The service is usually good, and their gluten-free crust is the best I have come across in Indiana.
Great restaurant with really good food. The quesadilla Del Mar was surprisingly excellent. They can accommodate large parties pretty well. Gluten free options : no dedicated fryer, so ask about GF if you need it. They understand the ask. Expect about $20/person after tip.
We haven't been to fazoli's in years. Since I became gluten free and then I discovered they offer gluten-free pasta. I had the lunchtime special which was only $7.99for two different small bowls of pasta and a drink. Rotini alfredo and the other with meat marinara. This was a pleasant quick meal. Recommended.
