I felt normal again to be able to order gluten free pancakes or waffles off the menu! Their Apple Pancake from Denmark was nearly to die for - oh my word!!! Plus I ordered a side of scrambled eggs, which were very fluffy and tasteful. I told my husband we'd have to move here!
They tend to get REALLY busy, but I assure you, for what I ate, it was worth it. Going late in the morning is a little better, or on Sunday. Plus they had the really cute Oregon Coast Music Festival framed posters that were fun to look at.
The next morning we came back so I could have GF blueberry pancakes. The only downside to this was the berries ibviousky weren't fresh, and the berries were small.
But I still feel like this was an all around good experience. The waitress, Kathleen (?) was a joy!
While both gluten free and vegan options are clearly indicated on the menu, it is not possible to get any pasta dish with both of those specifications due to the gluten free pasta containing egg, which the staff was not aware of. Despite giving allergies as gluten, dairy and egg at the beginning of the meal, we were informed that ordering the pasta gluten free and vegan would be safe, and it was also served with a gluten free baguette alongside that contained eggs. As soon as the error was noted (due to us double checking the baguette) the staff acted quickly to rectify the situation, but the allergy affected party had already eaten enough noodles to have a negative reaction. The meal was comped and a new dish offered. The food was delicious and the staff attentive, but in interest of ensuring that others don’t also have the same experience I feel the need to leave this review in hopes that the restaurant fixes this issue - how many vegans have consumed eggs without knowing, and how many others with allergies have eaten eggs here?
The food was so great you'd never guess they were gluten-free, we had to come back the next day for breakfast. The staff is super friendly. Knowing they have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen gives me such peace of mind. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!
I went when it was a Chinese buffet and hadn't planned to come back. But they have reopened as a Mongolian grill, my husband and I went in. SO GOOD! We've since been somewhat regular repeat customers.
Very affordable to make a plate, and since you fill a to go box to do so its easy to make it for a meal plus leftovers. Staff are always kind and respectful and keep the prep area clean and freshly stocked.
Highly recommend, especially since the nearest Mongolian grill is Eugene. Great option for families, and there is rice and rice noodles as a gluten free option, and tofu/ plenty of fresh veg for vegans/vegetarians.
Very surprised by this gem and its food just trying to have a good bite on the way through, the local family hangout for sure and in a cool way. Looked very family friendly and fun even at 8pm. When i asked the lady at the pub if we seat ourselves she replied with if you want to which was a little annoying since it was implied i didnt know but everything else was really positive. My pickle chicken sandwich was great and my friends gluten free pizza was actually good in spite of me not really liking such things i had a slice and was impressed. I liked the craft bedford ginger ale also.
Given the volume of customers, this local ice cream shop is the place to go. More than thirty varieties of homemade ice cream, you can find your favorite type and have it served in a bowl or cone. Homemade waffle cones are available, as well as gluten-free options. I personally didn't try one, but they have a homemade bubble waffle cone. Prices are comparable to similar shops I have visited in different parts of the country.
Staff Was helpful and knowledgeable about Gluten-free items! Fresh breakfast with good flavor. The hours online were not update. So we waited for an extra hour thinking they open at 7am and they were open at 6am. So check hours before you arrive!!
