This place is great! Took my daughter, who has Celiac disease, here due to their gluten free options and was not disappointed. Both our foods were delicious!! I had a regular bun and she had GF bun. The atmosphere and vibe was fun and laid back. Staff was friendly and attentive. They discussed with us that someone on the staff has Celiac and it was comforting to know that they understood the issues with cross contamination. Cannot recommend this place enough to anyone (food restrictions or not). Thank you for providing a safe, amazing and delicious place to eat out at! Can't wait to go back.
Loved the entire atmosphere of the restaurant. Staff; including the server were amazing (friendly, personable and knowledgeable about allergens) . Gluten free menu options available. Only giving 4 stars because the food did take a while to come out and then it was not hot. But the food was good!
My wife had lunch at the Chop House in Kingsport on Thursday. She has some pretty serious food allergies and explained the situation to her waiter named Chris. She placed her order and thought he completely understood what she needed to keep her safe. The other two individuals ordered the same items but did not ask for their food to be "plain". Another server brought the meals to the table and my wife was not really sure she got the "plain" meal. When the waiter refilled her drink glass, he said "here's your gluten free water". This was a real turn off for her. Later in the day, she did experience some allergic reactions to what she had eaten which had to be dealt with. I would strongly suggest that you reiterate to your wait staff the importance of paying attention to guests with severe food allergies, especially when they go into detail of what they need. We don't eat out often and this just reinforces why we don't.
Very nice servers and nice atmosphere. The tomato soup was too thick and heavy. The gluten-free Strawberry Shortcake was very good. Light and fluffy. I would come back here again if I'm in the area.
Nice quiet atmosphere with peaceful music! Staff were very attentive & they have a small gluten free menu. I always get the Rotini and salad. It's so good!
I have celiac and came here every day for band camp, and not once did I get sick, in fact the workers were so friends that when we walked in on the last day the said hey and started wiping the slicer because the remembered us , it was awesome
I love Beefs! Lots of options for someone who is gluten free, although I'm not sure if they have a gluten free bun or bread. I love their chicken bowls and they have awesome salads. Such a big menu with so many good choices. Always clean and usually very fast service!
Definitely a 5 star restaurant. Gluten free option going bunles on the burger. Fries are lacking. Desserts are on point. I wouldn't go out of my way to get the pickle dip.
Great customer service and they always take good care of my food. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and they have always prepared my food safely. 2 thumbs up from me!
This restaurant reminds me of eating in a hoarders house, clutter everywhere, watch your step. First time I ate there it was decent this time however they didnt have what I was wanting because it didnt come on the truck... If it's not fresh why pay for something I could make. Disappointed ☹️ where are the dads at?
Came for the gluten free pancakes from a review on Google left with nothing but wasted time. Thanks
If I could give less than one star, I would. First we walked in to no one at the host stand. We stood there for at least 5 or 10 minutes when finally a girl walks away from a group of friends wanders over. She had seen us there and chose to chat it up with her friends while we waited. On top of that she acted irritated that we were even there. Upon looking at the menu I could find only two gluten free options but maybe there were more. However the menus were so faded they were hard to read. We just left. Very dissatisfied. As out of town guests, this painted a poor picture of Kingsport.
This place is a great spot when I come in from out of state! The nachos are so big and fresh! The gluten free options matter too because I’m allergic to wheat! It’s perfect! I appreciate them!
I love the bagel exchange! I thought I couldn't go there now that I'm gluten free but they actually have a decent gluten free bagel. It's not made in house but it did the trick! I'll definitely be going back again soon now that I know there is a gluten free option!
Totally enjoyed the meal at Riverfront. I will be back. I would love more gluten free and low carb "vegetable" options. Waiter was exceptional. Masks were worn and I did not see waiters and waitresses playing with the up and down , touching of masks.
Food was awesome. Loved the blackened salmon and crab bites.
Even though it was very late in the day, literally the hour before closing, staff was very friendly to us. I have to watch out for gluten and they had the best gluten free pasta I have literally ever eaten. Food was beyond delicious. I couldn't eat the bread sticks but my dad told me they were the best he's had in his life. 1000/10 do recommend!
The cupcakes looked delicious! Other people said they were good. I can’t eat the gluten. Wish they had more gluten free options. They only have chocolate and vanilla and you have to order by the dozen. The gluten free cake pops were ok, not the best I’ve had but a nice treat.
Great place for those gluten & dairy free!
All the Thai curry is made with coconut milk and served over white rice.
Yummy and naturally, by recipe, gluten and dairy free.
Others in our party enjoyed their food, too
This place is awesome here for Joshua's birthday for something different and definitely a gem in a small building. Great environment and just a great deal and family fun for all ages.
And they have gluten free and everything from scratch. Well taken care of.
Come check it out.
I have celiac and they do not offer a gluten free meal. I believe, like IHOP, they put pancake batter in the scramble eggs. I had a reaction within an hour.
It's a hot Saturday afternoon, really hot. "TWO DADS, here we come. Something new: Sugar-free ice cream, Dairy-free ice cream; Gluten-free ice cream. (I had the sugar free chocolate and it was very good.) And such nice people to chat with while eating the sugar-free chicolate ice cream. A favorite place for a sandwich, too.
We ordered food for a big party. The food was fabulous; baked beans, pork, chicken, and brisket! They advised me on how much food I would need and it was ready for pick up when I got there! Everything was perfect! They also prepared my food gluten free as we asked!
Been 2 years since I've been here last and we sat down to eat in this time. I told them about my allergy of gluten (celiac) and was surprised by a allergy menu! That said everything and I didn't have to Google it or be unsure, I got the bbq bone in wings with ranch and our server was very helpful and even took my wings home to reheat. Still very delicious! And I didn't get sick and my partner (who's not Celiac) did not have stomach problems like we might get from other places. Thanks so much will be back again!
