Im only rating food a 4 because my GF sandwich bread pretty much dissolved before I could finish eating it. They tried hard, im sure, it looked great. But it was so disappointing trying to eat it with everything falling apart. Just make note to either remove the bun first, or don't get a sandwich if gluten free. The wait outside and at the table was quite long, but they're very busy. Great tasting food, nice atmosphere...
This is a surprise restaurant I found in oak Ridge. Mostly country style cooking. Some of it is friendly to those with digestive issues, but not a lot. I was able to eat without gluten issues but it was an effort. I had grilled kingfish with sweet potato on the side and the person I was with had the catfish. The service was fine and the atmosphere was okay. It would have been nice to have eaten something dessert that was gluten-free because their desserts looked amazing. I wanted some of that banana pudding so bad! My hope is that I'll go back there and find a few more items that I can eat. One of the best things about this place is that the ingredients seem fresh and the food came out hot. If you have strong digestion systems then this is going to be an amazing experience for you.
I love this place, very quick. Even when there's a line. Good clean ingredients. I am sensitive to dairy and gluten and am able to eat here without feeling any consequences. Delicious good clean food when I don't feel like preparing dinner. And the staff is always so sweet.
Ordered grilled nugget meal to go. Got home and opened the box to find fried breaded nuggets. I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten. Therefore I spent about $15 for something I could not eat.
Now that Jersey Mike's offers gluten-free subs, my life has become mostly complete. I'm so happy to be able to eat a sandwich that I feel like a kid at Christmas. Thank you so much for helping people who have gluten-free preferences because of this I can eat sandwiches again At fast food places like yours. I went into this place and had A really good experience the other day. Everybody was super nice and helpful. Plus my sandwich was amazing. Can't wait to come back.
Great local watering home with ample outdoor seating. I usually stop by whenever I'm in town to visit family. I have a gluten allergy, so I appreciate that they carry a few different hard ciders, and especially that they usually have at least one from Ace Cider.
I appreciate the care they have for patrons with gluten free needs. Plenty of options and the gluten free bread is good! A definite go to for quality food and excellent customer service.
This is the worst of the Firehouse Subs that I’ve been to. I asked for the packet of mayonnaise to be put on the sandwich instead of a packet in the bag. They said they couldn’t do it because the gluten free bread would cause a problem. I said that’s ok all the other Firehouse Subs do it. She said “I’m sorry, we just can’t do that”. I cancelled the sandwich and have no plans to return, and I live in Oak Ridge. The best FH is in Hardin Valley. Great customer service, great food, and worth the drive.
I have a little one that is gluten intolerant and they were SO helpful! They have gluten free cones and it meant the world to us and our son. The ice cream was AMAZING! Tons of toppings, impeccably kind service, and super clean facility. Miles above Baskin Robbins! Fast, personable, and friendly service. We will be returning customers! Thank you Lolli and Bobo!
Best breakfast in town, by far. Gluten free friendly. The food and beverage director, Jane, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable regarding gluten free options. Would definitely recommend!
I’ll definitely be back! Ended up here randomly one night. It is a nice restaurant with a bar vibe at night and a semi casual dress atmosphere. There is music multiple times a week. The state and sound setup for a small place was great! They really put in some top notch sound and lighting. The food was well priced (compared to other restaurants currently). There was also a lot of variety to choose from. From make your own pasta dish to a Cuban sandwich to a filet to a salad. They also serve lunch and brunch! I’m gluten free and they had gluten free crackers for the appetizer we got and seemed knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu. They had a unique drink menu too.
As a diner with Celiac, I have had a very difficult time finding gluten-free sushi in the Oak Ridge/Knoxville area. However, I Heart Sushi opened, and I called and asked if they had gluten-free sushi, and they did, so I thought I'd give them a try. Their sushi is amazing. They have gluten-free soy sauce, and all of their rolls are gluten-free, unless they have tempura in them. If the servers don't know about whether or not something is gluten-free, they check with the owner or a chef. The sushi was fresh and the rice and seaweed had a great flavor. I'll definitely be a regular at this restaurant.
My family loves eating at China Palace. The atmosphere is nice. The food is very good. I am gluten free and have a variety of dishes I can eat. We give it 5 stars.
