The food at Pho is always amazing! I am a Coeliac and this is the one place I feel 100% safe! The staff are very knowledgeable about the food and the atmosphere is always a vibe! Our servers, Rebecca and Ranjeet were also very nice!
Second visit disappointing. My daughter ordered a gluten free toasted sandwich and I ordered a quesadilla, both containing chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and chewy. Thought we’d found a gem after first visit but probably won’t return.
As a photographer visiting Oxford, I’m always a bit anxious about finding somewhere accommodating for my dietary needs. However, this place completely exceeded my expectations! When I mentioned I’d be back to collect my gluten-free pie to take home, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their kindness and attention to detail made such a difference. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the team was super friendly throughout. I can’t recommend this spot enough – it’s a true gem for anyone with allergies or simply looking for great food and service!
Rib eye steak was fantastic, and the creme brulee was a delicious dessert to round off an excellent meal. Service was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent gluten free options, including beer. Highly recommended!
Had a great dinner here with my wife. Staff were really welcoming and knowledgeable.
The food was delicious and portions were good.
We came because it was recommended for the gluten free options. They have an extensive separate menu and handled everything with great care.
Well, well, well… I’ve never been to Bella Italia before but I think it’s one of my new favourite restaurants.
Such a friendly atmosphere, great service, and the food was exceptionally good!
I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Catered to allergies and gluten free with no issues. A very smooth and enjoyable experience. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you for the lovely time. Xx
We hosted our work Christmas celebration at Lula's. The room and tables looked beautiful, the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed, and the food was wonderful. With all the mains being gluten free, and a good variety of vegetarian and vegan food, it was worry free too. Lula and her team were attentive and friendly, and our whole party agreed it was a great night.
We popped into GBK before going to New Theatre as conveniently across the road.
Nice venue, friendly staff & lovely food with gluten free options!
Lovely evening out for husbands birthday & he received a free ice cream 🍦 treat!
Thank you 😊
THE BEST CAKE I've ever had. It happened to be gluten-free (bonus!). It was almond, lemon, coconut cake slice. And the woman who. Served me was especially nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you!
I love Ask Italian. We had carbonaras and the nduja pasta. Our server, Coco, was so lovely - 2 of us were gluten free and he showed us the allergen list and full GF menu. He was so friendly and funny and really made our night.
Surprisingly good gluten free burger. The meat was delicious and the bread was really good. My only “but” was that the bread was cold. Regardless, it was really nice burger with a jacked potato. They have a special gluten free menu available (although it may be cross contamination in the kitchen)
A warm welcome at the door, seated quickly, efficient table service. Food and drinks were flavoursome and vegan menu/gluten free options worked well for us. Toilets upstairs including some inclusive "everyone" non-gendered toilets. Webpage for this venue states that a portable ramp is available for access and there is a disabled toilet; for staff assistance press buzzer next to front door. Also states free wifi, baby facilities, braille menus, induction loops and magnifying sheets.
Great food, partner is celiac and got a burrito bowl and it was great.
Only small issue is on eof the staff didn't see very sure about allergens and said the cheese was not gluten free and questioned the sour cream. But another staff told him it was all gluten free apart from the burritos wraps themselves. Possibly some additional training needed there.
I visited Dirty Bones after coming for a works do and I was not disappointed! The service was impeccable and given I had a gluten allergy, everyone was very helpful and accommodating with the menu options. I felt very comfortable and was even able to have a burger with an amazing gf brioche bun! I highly recommend the tater tots (they were also gf). Also a massive thanks to our server Olivia who was so friendly! Will definitely be coming back!
Not suitable for Coeliacs.
The specific gluten free menu was encouraging and the wait staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful with regard to making every effort to avoid gluten cross contamination in the kitchen. Of course, the usual caveat was issued that they would not be held responsible if there were trace amounts of gluten in the food.
After some deliberation and checking that the soy sauce and wasabi were gf, we confidently enjoyed a delicious selection of dishes.
We left full and happy after a delicious meal, but this was unfortunately short lived due to the sickness that followed.
The sushi and service were very good but for one reason or another the restaurant does not seem capable of catering for Coeliacs.
We stopped in on a whim to see if they had any Gluten Free items and were blown away. The open face avocado spread topped with caesar chicken was outstanding, as were their fresh berries and yogurt. What a great spot.

The fish and chips were hot, crispy, and delicious. Gluten free were marked Allergy with a stick so they were separate from the other food. The chips were hot and some of the best I’ve had. A little chilly inside and definitely crowded on a Friday night, but a good stop!
I heard it was great and was really looking forward to it however I coeliac. I noticed the allergen notice on the menu highlighting t risk of cross contamination which although the manager tried to help, then limited my choice to just avocado on toast. Not suitable for coeliacs
Great service, tasty meals and offers GF options. The waitress guiding us made sure we had a pleasant brunch despite short wait + waiter who took our orders would remember to take orders that coeliac safe. 6/5!

Delicious food but unfriendly and rude staff particularly to babies/parents.
Gluten free bread available for toasties and great selection of drinks. Great accessible toilet, high chair available and cosy setting. Unfortunately we found the staff particularly unfriendly and unhelpful towards us and our babies. Despite our efforts ie packing up some of our buggies and of course making sure the babies weren't disturbing other people and also spending plenty of money with them, what seemed to be the supervising staff member rudely asked us to remove our cups and crockery from a table (out of baby reach) that wasn't being used when there were at least 3 other tables free. Was not provided with an alternative place to put things, just rudely asked to move because they would lose customers. Even after we explained that we would happily remove if anyone came in, they continued to treat us as a bother and unwelcome customers for the rest of our stay. If you are a sleep deprived mama or dad, would recommend steering clear of the agg you would get here. A shameful lack of goodwill.
Chloe - you absolute legend! She actually looked for a GLUTEN FREE beer and offered me a glass. You absolute LEGEND! What a darling! If you visit talk to Chloe she is so lovely and welcoming! ❤️
I wouldn't recommend it for gluten intolerant/ celiacs. I asked about gluten free options before sitting and was told "we have many options". Eventually 99% of the manu was with gluten and I ended up getting a thin slice of meat with some raw vegetables, for which I paid 16 pounds. There are many other better restaurants in Oxford that respect their gluten-free costumers.
Adorable tea shop in Oxford, that is perfect for a date, or a meetup with loved ones or friends.
I think the tea selection is nice, and I've always enjoyed all the cups I've tried. I also think the inclusion of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options is noteworthy.
A cute place to visit!
VEGETARIANS BE CAREFUL- I would love to give this place a shining review as I really like to support independent places in Oxford owned by locals. I will say I've been three times and the burgers are good. Less overpriced than other places in the vicinity and we've never waited very long. We went last Saturday (27/4/24)- I ordered a gluten free burger and the server was quite careful in explaining about potential cross contamination and the sesame seeds in the buns.
However, my partner ordered a vegan burger and they brought him a MEAT burger! He realised after one bite and asked a second server, who said he 'thought it was veggie but would double check'. Then we heard nothing until the original server brought him a veggie burger with no apology. She made some comments about how the veggie burger is 'very realistic'- we failed to see the relevance of this because we both saw and confirmed that his first burger was NOT a veggie burger. He asked how this occurred and she said she 'didn't know what had happened' and then gave a brief apology. We didn't see her for the rest of our visit but the second server brought us our bill- I said we weren't happy to pay for the veggie burger and he took it off the bill. Everything else was fine but I would advise vegetarians to triple check their orders!

The food is great for breakfast, lunch and Sunday Roast! The staff are expertly trained and attentive. They have a great beer selection including gluten free beers and it's all extremely well priced! The hotel is a gem. The rooms are recently renovated and updated and it's our go-to place when visiting Oxford.
Love Al-Shami! I especially appreciate the clearly marked and abundant vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Also a broad selection of gluten free choices though these are not labelled. Great for large groups both in terms of being able to share small plates but also in terms of the restaurant's ability to accommodate everyone at the same table. A very popular spot with Oxford University clubs and organizations. The food is all phenomenal and very reasonably priced. Definitely get the hummus!
Incredibly tasty, fresh food for amazing value!
A 'small' box is £6.50 and is absolutely STUFFED with goodness - I had puy lentils, mixed greens, falafal, green goddess topping, and mixed nuts. It was SO delicious, and all gluten free!
So many gluten free and vegetarian (and vegan) options, as well as meat/fish. Highly recommend if you want nutritious, tasty food for great value 😊
Sadly I think we just caught this place on a bad night. The reviews are generally good and our friend is staying at the hotel and says the breakfasts are great and the service impeccable. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely and the place is immaculately appointed, but unfortunately we had a waitress who seemed brisk and brusque, plus the food just wasn’t good! It started well with the lovely manager taking time to accommodate our gluten free dietary requirements, but the food was really below par, especially considering it’s not inexpensive. The crab starter was saturated with mayonnaise and had an extra dollop of mayonnaise for added measure but with no bread to go with it. My main course of duck was overdone and the rainbow chard tasted like it hadn’t been washed it was so earthy, plus the sauce was flavourless. The turnips were replaced with roast new potatoes, without consideration that a portion of potatoes had been ordered as a side. For the others in our party of three, the fish was slightly overcooked (but still tasty apparently) and the aubergine dish still had the tops of the aubergines attached. It really just felt that perhaps the kitchen was short-staffed and inexperienced and the waitress was overwhelmed and also lacked the customer service skills needed. The restaurant was busy so one imagines it normally has a good reputation, hence us thinking that we just caught it on a bad night. We didn’t complain at the time, because sometimes it’s obvious in a restaurant when they’re not coping well and it really felt that we’d end up having to wait for food to be cooked again with little chance of it being any better.
