What a lovely place!
We popped in for a light lunch today - welcomed warmly by all the staff.
Varied menu on offer with lots of delicious looking specials in addition.
I'm coeliac so always a little nervous about being 'glutened' but the guys here knew their product well, a variety of GF breads available, apple cake was lush too.
I had a very tasty red pepper, tomato and chickpea soup - lovely spicy bite to it!
Mam and dad both had toasties with a lovely looking and generous salad and crisps accompanying.
Mam had the GF seeded bread toastie - really enjoyed.
Dog friendly too, so great for walkers.
This café is a real find. They definitely go above and beyond, hope they do well.

We visited as a group of 9 plus dog for Sunday lunch while staying in the area. We booked ahead & the person we spoke to was really helpful including providing information on the gluten-free options for our friend who is coeliac.
On the day we had a lovely table in a quiet corner. The staff were friendly, helpful & attentive. Sunday lunches were outstanding - all 3 courses were fab. The veggies in our group were very impressed with the pie - mushroom, root veg & ale.
Highly recommended, it was a highlight of our visit to the area.

Wonderful dinner experience with party of 10.
We had booked for dinner on the same day, i.e. a bit last minute and we did not regret this one. Nice concise menu with good choice for both starters and mains.
We can’t fault any of the choices of our group. Mushrooms, Brie platter, French onion soup, pasta all went down very very well. Service is very attentive, friendly and with good sense of humour.
For mains the braised beef was to die for, the chicken unbelievably nice, the steak spot on and the lamb was perfect.
Plenty of sides and veggies so we can’t really find any point of critique.
One at the table is gluten intolerant and that didn’t cause any problem and she was very happy with her choices and especially with the taste of her meal.
Nice wines on the list, a short list but perfectly balanced.
Also desserts went down well.
All in all an absolutely quality place for a nice fine dinner. Would go again any time when in the area.
