So good to find a cafe with a wide range of tasty gluten free food

We visited on what seemed to be a particularly busy day, which unfortunately affected the overall experience. Tables hadn’t been cleared, and it felt like the staff were either stretched too thin or not effectively managed. That said, the gluten-free menu was impressive and offered plenty of options, which we really appreciated. I ordered the Buds Bowl, which sounded great on the menu, but it arrived missing key ingredients—there was no roasted squash or pomegranate seeds. With only one server visibly working and clearly overwhelmed, it was impossible to get their attention, and no one checked in to see how our meal was. Since we had to pay before eating, there was no opportunity to raise the issue or have it resolved, which left us feeling a bit disappointed. We’re keen to try the chain again at a different location because of the excellent gluten-free options, but we won’t be returning to this particular site.

Visited on 30/03/25 and the service was amazing from the servers, I didn’t catch her name unfortunately but the lady working there made sure our order was fully safe and gluten free for me to eat, reassured us it was okay, and was chatty with my partner and made us feel welcome, there was a little play area for our little baby, and when our baby bumped his head they gave us ice and marshmallows for him! Definitely worth the visit.

HUGE gluten free menu and absolutely delicious. I had the steak sandwich which was so yummy and smooth. The service was incredible and the view is great if you enjoy people watching. Definitely recommend for a nice lunch in the city centre.

This place is a lovely place to go, it has a wife menu for gluten free and vegan which accommodated our family when we are down here next will will be comming back the place is lovely atmosphere is so good I recommend this to anyone I know

Great experience, the waitress Betty was a delight! She was very professional and kind. Had a gluten free fish and chips which was amazing and there were lots of other gluten free dishes available! Beautiful views and will definitely be back

The food here is amazing, and to say that this is 100% gluten and dairy free makes it so much better that I can have anything on the menu without worry! I was so spoilt for choice, I’ll definitely have to come back to try more items on the menu! 😁 Also the staff were so lovely and made me and my partner feel so welcome!

Great place for people with food inflictions 😊. Separate menu for Celiacs, which was very impressive. Nice place, with seating inside and outside. Food very good. Service not that quick and had to be reminded that I'd ordered a desert. Would go again

My partner is coeliac and not one, but TWO staff members mistakenly gave him a gluten-containing product. First the staff member on the bar when he ordered, my partner checked everything he'd ordered was safe, which the staff member assured him that he was. Secondly the server who delivered the oreo milkshake assured us that the biscuits on it were gluten free. It was only when I questioned the server repeatedly and asked her to double check the allergen list that the gluten was identified. Thankfully my partner didn't eat any. But he could have been seriously ill, and if someone with an anaphylactic allergy had experienced this then they could have died. Normally the Lounges are our #1 restaurant when eating out due to their diligence with coeliac dietary requirements. Unfortunately this has led us to put a lot of trust in the servers, and my partner was about to eat his milkshake before I questioned the server as his level of trust in the Lounges is high enough that he was willing to take her at her word. We will continue to eat at the Lounges chain as they have been brilliant every other time we've eaten at one of them. However it would be good if Portico Lounge could confirm that ALL staff at Portico Lounge will be required to undergo allergy refresher training, and that junior staff will be supervised by managers with more in depth allergy training.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Lemon Tree Tea Rooms in Llandudno is a delightful haven on a busy day. I tried the Welsh rarebit (perfectly topped with egg), and it hit all the right notes—creamy, savoury, and just what you need for a little pick-me-up. The charming Alice-in-Wonderland décor and friendly staff create a relaxed atmosphere where you’re free to sit wherever you like; just head to the register to order and your food will be brought over. It’s clearly a local favourite—stylish yet unpretentious, with a diverse menu including sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and homemade cakes. The staff were welcoming, efficient and professional, making this a quick but memorable stop. Dogs and gluten-free options are also catered for, which shows attention to detail. Overall, a perfect little retreat for a tasty break in Llandudno town centre.

We had an amazing lunch here. I’m coeliac, my menu choices were explained and plentiful. We had prawn nachos to start. They were amazing! I had a beautifully cooked steak with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. The lamb Kleftico pie looked outstanding. Outstanding, friendly service. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Bill's in Cardiff Bay. We turned up without a reservation and despite the place being quite busy, we were seated promptly and drinks orders taken quickly. I'm Coeliac which means boring gluten free dining, but in Bill's there is a whole gf menu so I didn't feel left out. I had the Fish Pie and Banoffee Sundae, both of which were different from usual gf options. They also did a gf IPA which I wasn't very keen on but nice to have the option. We were served by Gabriel. He's an absolute treasure. If you're gf, you should deffo give the place a try!

I recently stopped by The Cosy Cafe in Hay-on-Wye for lunch, and it was a truly delightful experience. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service was impressively quick and efficient. The food was absolutely lovely, with a great selection of gluten-free options available. The oat milk lattes were a highlight, and the raspberry and almond Bakewell tart (gluten-free) was simply divine. The cafe's warm and inviting atmosphere made it a perfect spot to relax. For those planning a visit, there are on-street parking options and a small car park nearby, with a larger one just a short walk away. I highly recommend The Cosy Cafe and look forward to returning soon!

This has been one of our favourite spots for the last couple of years, but distinctly off the boil at dinner today. My wife is coeliac and the GF focaccia is usually a highlight - unfortunately quite dry and did not seem particularly fresh today. The seafood linguine was far less flavoursome than previous dinners. Not sure if it was an off night/different chefs (we've met the head chef at a couple of prior dinners, she seems wonderful, and the food on those occasions has been awesome.) Staff seemed slightly. Fingers crossed it's back to the usual standards next time!

The food was OK, but the portions were a bit on the small side for the price, although I went for 3 small plates and perhaps that was a bit too little for me. Sponge of my sticky toffee pudding was dry. Service was good though, and there were plenty of gluten-free options for my wife.

I’ve loved Fabulous Welshcakes for years. We always pick some up when we’re in Cardiff bay and Cardiff city centre. I love the variety but you can’t beat a traditional Welsh Cake. As soon as we started wedding planning we knew we wanted them for our wedding favours, it wasn’t even a question. There’s a huge range of flavour to choose from and they cater for allergies too! We had one celiac guest and another guest that was celiac and dairy intolerant.. they catered for both! I can’t thank you enough. We purposely ordered extra to enjoy ourselves after the day too. Thank you so much. We had a great experience throughout, from booking to collecting.

Lovely little hidden gem in Mold, mostly all menu items were able to be made gluten free for me. The gluten free waffle was incredible, the best I’ve had since diagnosis. Food did a little long to come out but we were enjoying to cosy and welcoming atmosphere whilst we waited.

When you state on your website that you accomodate Gluten free, you should actually do so. Offering the same meal with all the gluten containing parts removed, is not a Gluten free alternative. Also prices on the website are outdated by about £3-£5 per meal. Wanted a breakfast, was offered it without sausage, without Black pudding, and without Hash browns. Absolute rubbish. The vast majority of hash browns are gluten free, and most good quality sausages are gluten free so no excuses really. GF black pudding is also available however I usderstand not having that as hardly anywhere gets it in. It's like offering a Gluten free pancake, but it's just a plate with some nutella spread on it, these are not GF alternatives! Chippy on the high street had excellent Gluten free options and a dedicated GF fryer

Our favourite Italian in Cardiff - actually our favourite restaurant in Cardiff! Discovered in 2020 and still go there or get pizza takeaways regularly, even though we live less close now. They cater for allergies and coeliac as well, which is a game changer! Can't believe how affordable it is (and has been over the last few years) for such good quality food. Service is amazing as well!

Good and some unusual choice of flavours of ice cream and sobets, great combinations available - waffles crepes real fruit smoothies and even better- gluten free crepes available. Was busy today but friendly staff were efficient, and very clean premesia. Prices reasonable.Thankyou for a lovely experience.

This place used to be a literal heaven for gluten free people. I went last week and the menu has changed. The only "gluten sensitive" options are on the Vegan menu, and it's all very confusing! Our choices are limited to the Sundaes and the Waffle. No sauces for the waffle are marked as GF (or GS) so I had a very sad crumbly waffle with just ice cream on top! Definitely not going again!

Four adults visited the Rok for the first time, (which is a separate resteraunt but part of The Lighthouse building) . We had the Sunday lunch menu and were impressed with the food, service and amazing sea view. My wife requires a gluten free diet and she had a number of options to choose. We will definitely be returning.
