Really enjoyed our lunch at Wildwood. The gluten free pizza base was one of the best we've had. Great to see gluten free pasta on offer too. The chairs and sofas were very comfortable and the atmosphere was really pleasant. It didn't feel the dining space was too crowded and the service was very friendly and prompt. Silverware and glassware was really good quality - always nice to see decent wine glasses on offer! Soft drinks were presented with a lot of ice in them, so I'll probably ask for less ice next time! But other than that we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again.

We visited The Bear tonight with our dog, atmosphere was good and we were seated straight away. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the meals were nothing less than perfect. We had a really lovely meal here at the weekend. The staff we interacted with were all so polite and friendly, and seemed genuinely thrilled to have us there. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated and has a friendly, relaxing atmosphere.
I cannot eat gluten, and the member of staff who served us was very knowledgeable about each dish and what did and didn’t contain gluten. Additionally, the allergens in each dish are clearly listed against every option on the menu, so I felt 100% confident ordering something that I could safely eat, which was such a luxury.
The pappadums were gorgeous and came with a lovely selection of dips. We shared the BDF to start, and it was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Our mains consisted of Alleppey Prawn Curry, Coconut Rice, Grandma’s Chicken Curry and Pulao Rice, all of which was delicious and cooked well. My husband also had a cheese and garlic naan which he really enjoyed, and although I couldn’t try any for myself, it looked and smelt incredible.
This was our first visit to Mattancherry Taunton, but it definitely will not be our last!

Augustus is tucked away in a little side street but well worth tracking down. The menu is of classic French style with little modern twists. My wife and l ate here they had no problem dealing with my wife coeliac disease GF. We were looked after by Cedric, Henry and Erin all very knowledgeable and professional nothing to much trouble. We had Asparagus with a crispy soft egg followed by crown of pigeon my wife had faggots. All were beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection, all in all if you’re in Taunton do hunt it out you won’t regret it.

Decided to go out for dinner with my family, it was amazing, they offered many different options for food, they offered gluten free options which was brilliant.
