I am so glad we discovered this restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive and my sangria was perfect. I can't eat gluten so that fact that the restaurant is completely gluten-free was wonderful! I could eat anything from the menu! And my company, who can eat gluten, also enjoyed everything they had and didn't notice the lack of it. I also appreciated that the hand washing sinks were located outside of the toilets so patrons could wash hands without waiting for full facilities. We all had the Baja-Style Cod which we each thought was amazing, and started with guacamole and chips and ceviche. The portions were just right. I hope Copita opens in NY!!!
My girlfriend is celiac, as well as allergic to dairy and most meats. The owner came over and went through all of her allergies and guaranteed they would all be covered with no cross contamination in the kitchen. He recommended a few dishes for us and it was truly the best Indian food we've ever had, all with being gluten-free and dairy free. We'd be very regular customers if we weren't just in town visiting.
I’ve been ordering pizzas from Queen of Crusts for years now! Always great, always fresh and top quality ingredients (many from their own farm)! My usual order is the meat lovers kit because I love to freeze it so I can have it available whenever I need it for a fast dinner for my family. The monthly specials are also great so I usually get those to go with it. They also have gluten free and dairy free options, so it really can accommodate everyone’s needs.
The best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Accommodating and helpful to find out safe options for my wife’s gluten allergy. Great seating on the water. Reasonable prices.
Scoma’s Review
It isn’t easy for a restaurant to meet expectations on Valentine’s Day, of all days. It’s usually nuts because people are nuts (they tend to be more impatient or obnoxious, IMO). But Scoma’s totally exceeded our expectations. We had a LOVELY lunch/dinner here on 2/14/2022.
We’d been here a couple of times before, whenever we visit Sausalito. And those experiences were good, but this one was GREAT. It really helped us enjoy my wife’s birthday.
First of all, I had put a note in my OpenTable reservation noting the birthday and requesting a quiet window table - like EVERYONE does. I hate to say I was surprised, but admittedly I was surprised what a great table we got. So many restaurants just ignore what you write. In Scoma’s case, the very likable, approachable host acknowledged us quickly and escorted us to a nice quiet table in the back by the window. That gesture ALONE established a good dining experience. I wouldn’t have cared if the food hadn’t been great or even if the service had a few misses. But neither of those things were a concern, either. The server was awesome! He was so personable but professional, I really got a kick out of him as he sort of figured out what kind of couple we are. He was fun (sorry I’ve already forgotten his name!). But he really helped make a great experience, got our drinks quickly, checked on us, didn’t just abandon us after the food was delivered (that happens sometimes, but not here on this occasion).
LOVED the shrimp cocktail. LOVED that not only do they have oysters, but the service Hog Island oysters here. I had them. They blew me away. My wife got the surf and turf, and she really enjoyed both the steak and the lobster. I loved the ahi I ordered. And for dessert, the zabaglione was as good as any I’ve had in fancy Italian restaurants. Totally awesome. On top of EVERYTHING else, as if that weren’t enough, they easily and happily accommodate gluten-free dining options. You don’t hear this expression a lot, but hats off to Scoma’s Sausalito!
This place is lovely and the service is good, but I didn’t find the food to be anything that knocked me out of the ballpark. The gluten free options are extremely underwhelming and they only offer penne GF pasta which is often incompatible with the pasta sauces they offer. I got the GF tagliatelle and didn’t want to eat more than a few bites. Uncompelling and mediocre at best. Next!
Exceptional service here - a special shoutout to the young man who served us with a smile, and was immensely helpful regarding gluten free options on the menu.
These are slightly limited (basically just salads) but I got the poke without rice (has soy sauce in it) and was in awe by the flavour!
Chips and guacamole were also especially flavourful. Not your run of the mill guacamole, Fish’s has spice and dimensions to it!
Delicious, ordered a Turkey & prosciutto on gluten free bread, a pesto chicken, red potato salad and stuffed (deviled) eggs.
Everything is homemade the owners were kind, too
THE ABSOLUTE BEST PIZZA north of THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE. Rode across the GG with clients and found Dario’s. One of our clients is gluten free which they offer.
I ordered a Garden of Eden Pizza….fabulous!
We came with a large group for a family dinner. The service was wonderful and the server took the time to go over the menu with me and told me what was gluten-free. The food was pretty good. The shrimp on the risotto was a bit salty. I do not recommend the watermelon margarita.
The food was delicious. There weren't a lot of options for me needing gluten and dairy free ones. Flavor was good (shrimp and veggies). There were no tablecloths and the ambiance was a little lacking. Service was good.
I have celiac - no gluten free labeling but our waitress was super knowledgeable! She was able to modify my skillet no problem and I had a delicious breakfast. Super friendly quick service, don’t be discouraged if you have a little wait! Awesome spot.
This place is not to be missed! Love the ambiance, down to the "auto garage" shirts of the staff. Food was amazing, staff attentive! They had more than one gluten free dish on their menu. Will be back soon!
Great brunch place! There's breakfast options for dairy and gluten sensitivity, just got to know what regular breakfast items to order and how. No gf df bakery items though.
Today is a good day. Good came out piping hot and delicious. We had steak and eggs, duck hash, avocado toast, white bean soup, lemon blueberry gluten free pancakes, salad. Avo toast is average but everything else is very yummy.
A great local dive bar with an excellent selection of drinks and crafts beers. Good ciders. Nice gluten free options. Wine and mixed drinks and cheap beer too.
This was our first time to Sausalito and we were hopeful of a great cafe experience. We should have chosen somewhere else. The gluten free muffins were really good but the coffee not so great....I could have let that pass but for the rudeness of the guy when I explained the coffee wasn't what I had ordered.
