Soooo goood! I didn’t expect to have such an easy time eating in newtown since I am celiac but this place has been such a delight. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. Acai bowl, smoothies, BLT, bacon egg and cheese, cheese bread, waffles we brought home …. Wow it beat my expectation by a long run. The owner is very kind. I love this place. Thank you!!
This place is fantastic for the gluten free community! It is a completely gluten free restaurant and the food was delicious! They make their own tortillas and we had the churros and fried ice cream for dessert and it brought me back to my childhood. My husband and I loved this restaurant and would make the hour drive to eat there again. The chef/ owner came out and shared a little bit about the restaurant with us. Great date night!
After hearing great things and seeing positive reviews of how they handle gluten and dairy free pizzas, we decided to give it a try. Even though we have very few choices of trustworthy restaurants in the area, I will not be returning here. The prices are outrageous…and I’m not even speaking of the extensive upcharges for gluten and dairy free options. $50 for 2 pepperoni pizzas (one gf/df)?! Absurd. Way too many pepperonis. Waitress did her minimal job and talked me out of sharing a gf pizza with my daughter because it was “about 10 inches”. It was the same size as the normal.
My biggest complaint was the children’s birthday party taking place in the restaurant with screaming 6 year olds running around. The families, some of whom are connected to the restaurant, were oblivious to the fact that several other families were there.
Expensive pizza. Terrible management of out of control children. Average service. Not for me. Won’t be back.
Have come here multiples times and the food never disappointed until today. It sounds like there might be a new owner / new chef. Wife had steak and eggs - steak was practically raw had asked for medium. We don’t typically send food back but we had to. Daughter #1 had gluten free cheeseburger - the bun was hard she isn’t picky but didn’t enjoy it. Not sure if it was stale, it wasn’t toasted and wasn’t frozen. Daughter #2 had french toast and didn’t like it, didn’t eat it. Didn’t seem like the batter made its way inside bread. My food was generally “ok” but I got avocado toast and the toast was thinly sliced and got very soft and mushy very fast.Looked like store bought bread nothing remarkable. Probably won’t be back until we see reviews change.
Stopped here on our way to Newport RI to celebrate our first anniversary. Talk about a way to kick off the trip! We came here not expecting anything, we just wanted some coffee and eggs. What we found was amazing customer service and amazing food. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect to sit outdoor and admire the creek. Ralph and John made us feel like family and gave us their recommendations for Newport. Food was astounding and easily the best brunch we've had since being on the east coast. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. They gave us some cannolis on our way out, everything was delicious and fresh. Thanks for making our first anniversary memorable! We will definitely be back whenever we pass through again. Highly recommend!
I strongly advise against dining at the Market Place restaurant due to their negligence resulting in my daughter falling severely ill. Despite informing the waitstaff about her celiac condition, they served her a gluten-containing dish, even after confirming twice that it was gluten-free. Additionally, they failed to deliver all the entrees to our table at the same time, 15 mins apart. The manager's insincere apology and a mere 30% discount on our bill were hardly satisfactory. If you prioritize food safety and adhering to allergy restrictions, I recommend avoiding this restaurant.
I have had both experiences at this place. delivery and dining in. Both of them were great. When I ordered food to be delivered, service was fast and food was hot and exactly the way I ordered. The place in the restaurant is very welcoming , Friendly and quick service .The menu is very diversified and includes gluten free options.
If you are looking for a reasonable priced restaurant with great food and service, this is the place. highly recommend.

My wife and I visited and sat at the bar for dinner Sunday. As usual, the food was excellent. Every item I have tried from the menu has always been impressive. This time I got the braised short rib sandwich which was even better than it sounded. Our server, Rachel, was friendly and attentive. Even though she was busy, she took the time to check in to see how everything was and to see if we needed anything. She was also able to accommodate my wife's gluten allergy with no issues.
We have had many good experiences here, but Rachel made this visit even better.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and an amazing staff...we will be back again soon.
An awesome find for those with specialty diets like myself, vegan & gluten-free. The vegan nachos were incredible and the burnt ends were so deliciously smokey. Couple the comfortable tavern atmosphere with a super friendly, knowledgeable & attentive staff and the Foundry gets two thumbs up and a polished clean plate with me looking forward to sharing this find with friends.

I absolutely love coming here, the food is always delicious and the staff are so friendly! It's a perfect spot to watch a game or meet with friends! They clearly mark gluten free options and their gluten free rolls are delicious !
I've always enjoyed their sushi and they have a good grasp on what is and isn't gluten free. I usually get take out from here but their dining room is passant and comfortable. There is plenty of parking, though be careful in the winter as it can get icy.
What a gem! Delicious fresh food with gluten free options. The food came out steaming hot and the service was fast. You can see everything being freshly made. The atmosphere is inviting, I enjoyed the bug windows with views of grass and trees as we dined. I liked that there were had painted murals and welcoming art work on the walls.
As soon as we sat down, we were served warm bread and salad. We ordered the chicken pesto sandwich, chicken wings, and meat sauce pasta ($20). All were delicious, the wings were crispy. Lovely experience.
This Deli was a lovely surprise!
My son and I stopped here on a whim and are very glad we did. We got 2 truly delicious gluten-free, well priced sandwiches. Both sandwiches were filled to the brim with fresh, delicious ingredients. All 3 individuals who waited on us were very courteous, and the place itself was clean and well organized. We will definitely be back!
I tasted a cake from HoneyBean at a friend’s party and was blown away. Now we order from Ali for every occasion. We’ve ordered cookies, macarons, cupcakes, and cakes from her. The flavors combos are creative and they work with you on price. Great gluten free and vegan options too
My favorite place to eat! The best people, amazing service & staff, such a beautiful and clean atmosphere and the food is absolutely amazing. As someone who is gluten free it’s so nice to be able to have so many options, especially gluten free pizza!
12/10 recommend Hill Top!
Great brewery with awesome tasting beer and some food options. They also have gluten free crust for their pizzas in case you need that option. Does get busy around peak hours so keep that in mind if you are traveling with a large group.

this is my favorite morning spot. I can always count on fresh coffee, fresh pastries, and friendly faces. And their gluten free carrot cake is incredible!
I wanted to give my compliments to this location for treating me so well. I was craving an acai bowl, and went to order one on UberEats. I couldn’t find Robeks ingredients for the granola ANYWHERE (which is my only complaint, but not this location’s fault!) so I gave the store a call. The woman on the phone was incredible - I explained to her that I have a food allergy & asked if the granola was safe for me. She said no, but they have a gluten free granola that she’d be happy to use for me (which was safe for my allergy). She even asked for my name, so that when I placed the order, she’d recognize it & take extra care in making it. As someone with a food allergy, it’s absurd how many people typically turn me away or give me attitude when trying to order something. It’s hurtful. This Robeks location, however, understands the importance of putting the customer first & they do so beautifully! I highly recommend this place to everyone, and hope that the woman who I spoke to sees this review (I appreciate you!)
