With a knack for uneven cooking and meal recommendations, it's a popular vacation dinner stop known for excellent service and standout burgers.
Great burgers and tots and super concerned about food allergies. My gluten intolerant wife was so happy to have tater tots. Owners family has food allergies so it is very important to them and it shows. Even without allergies the food is great.

Expect to enjoy some of the best calamari, paired with spicy margaritas and a stop at the neighboring, well-stocked liquor store.
Big of a hole in the wall vibe. Good service, not too noisy, great shrimp and grits. Gluten free menu. High moderate pricing
303 Mallery St, St Simons Island, GA 31522, USA
A top spot for sumptuous entrees, praised for its awesome service and bonus free ice cream treat!
Iguanas restaurant was recommended on a gluten free Facebook group because there is a separate gluten free menu. While on Saint Simon Island, GA, the bottom started to drop out! It was lunch time, so we ducked in to eat and to escape a wicked thunderstorm...and so did everyone else! I'm pretty sure Iguanas went from "0 to 100" in no time flat! Regardless of that fact, they were gracious and provided service with a smile! The food was outstanding!!! Caribbean Glazed Mahi, Caribbean Glazed Chicken, Mahi Sandwich and a Cheeseburger were our choices! Amazing! The free soft serve ice cream that was self-serve wasn't too bad either! Who can turn down free ice cream! We're here for a week and we will definitely be going back for another meal before we head home, preferably without the thunderstorm!
101 Downing St, St Simons Island, GA 31522, USA
Beachfront spot with inside and outside seating options, offering swift service and a relaxed ambience - though a bit pricey.
It was our 15th wedding anniversary, so we splurged. You sit down with a group of large windows in front of you with beautiful views of the ocean. There was a band playing in the lobby that was good. My wife had the shrimp and grits, I had the blackened shrimp tacos, and we shared the pimento cheese hummus with veggies. Our server, Nisha, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and set my wife at ease with her Celiac disease. The food came out and Nisha was there to see if everything came out right. Neither one of us noticed, but Nisha did, that my wife's entree had etouffe on it that would make her sick. She took it away and brought out a fresh one. We were both grateful for Nisha's quick thinking. The meal was great, the service was top notch, and you can't beat the views at Echo.
