I’ve gotten crepes many times from The French Cow and I’ve NEVER been disappointed! The traditional process is fascinating to watch. The various crepes that they offer are phenomenal, including gluten free!!!! I can’t say enough positive things about this business because you can feel and see that they genuinely love what they do. Honorable mention for Carly. She always makes my crepes with such love. She’s also a rockstar when things get super busy. MVP!! My family and I will always be returning customers.

From the moment you walk up to the restaurant there is traditional Indian decor that makes you feel like you’re walking to a wedding. Inside, the trendy and traditional decor sets the mood, while disco balls add a fun, contemporary vibe. You can even play a game of Carrom while waiting for your food (which doesn’t take long at all). The music keeps the atmosphere lively, and dining off metal trays and cups adds an authentic touch reminiscent of dining back in India. It’s a fusion of tradition and modernity in both ambiance and cuisine and definitely merits a trip to the Eastern Market area. We ordered the Mysore Dosa (gluten free and vegan), the Pav Bhaji, and the chicken vindaloo (gluten free). All were great and make you want to explore the rest of the menu.

I love Bert’s! In honesty... The service is consistently bad, BUT this is one of Detroit’s gems and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Karaoke on Saturdays brings out some of the most hidden talent in the city and I just love supporting this establishment! Great clientele and always fun! They even have vegan and gluten free options to boot!
