This is now our second visit to Victoria's and it was just as fantastic as we remembered. This is one of those rare gluten-free finds where someone who is gluten-free can enjoy delicacies such as fresh dinner rolls and pasta. We were in shock when they delivered gluten-free rolls for us, fresh and hot, and they tasted delicious. Both times we have gotten different gluten-free pastas and I'll honestly say my gluten free lasagna was good the first time, but better the second time. We were even able to get gluten-free cheesecake. This time around service was good however there were large parties in front of us and our food came out at different times. We were a party of four and the last dish came out after the other three of us were done eating. But our server was apologetic and explained what was happening. If you are gluten-free and craving some Italian food I definitely recommend Victoria's.
I'm not necessarily a huge fan of eggs benedict, but this place took me by surprise. The Cubano Benedict is maybe the best meal I've ever had (and gluten free!). The Steak Benedict is also fantastic.
The pancakes here are just okay last time I tried them- both gluten free and regular. Not something I'd go out for, but the Cubano Benedict is SO good, I must give this place 5 stars.
I can’t stop talking about this place! The service was great and fast (our server provided really good suggestions!), the cocktails were so well-balanced, and the food was delicious! I almost went back the next day for the noodles and brussels. We also had the tofu satay, which was wonderfully crispy, and the pad thai, which they will make if you beg, but I’m with the server that the other food was so good and you can get that anywhere. Best news: so much was gluten-free! Would go back right now if I could.
4.4 total stars for this great American restaurant.
They had issues seating us out of the sun which was frustrating but they eventually were able to accommodate.
5 stars for our server Ephraim! He was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the dietary restrictions. They have many gluten sensitive and plant based/ vegan options and accommodated various requests for us. Lots of variety in the menu so anyone can eat here.
4 stars for the quality of the food it wasn’t outstanding but good.
We had the:
Blueberry mocktail- nice that they have many alcohol free options but this drink was just okay
Gluten free truffle Parmesan fries- very good garlic aioli hit the spot
Gluten free rainbow roll- okay
Plant based mushroom fettuccini with gluten free pasta and chicken- delicious!
Bison burger of gluten free bread- decent, amazing Gf bread
GF Cookies and cream cake - excellent
I do recommend for a group that needs variety and has dietary restrictions. It’s a nice atmosphere on the casual side.
We had a fantastic dinner at Chester's. One of the best hamburgers I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My wife had the wedge salad and she said it was great. Fires were delicious! Even had gluten free key lime pie. Our waiter, Adam was awesome. He learned of my gluten allergy and even came back and said the tater tots I ordered weren't gluten free and offered options. Great job Chester's. Next time we are in Rochester we will be back!
4.7 stars for this delicious lovely gem 💎
The atmosphere is beautiful and on the upscale side.
Highly recommend the Grenache rose to go with the oysters which are on the Briney side but great if you like that sort of thing.
Asparagus app and beet app are smothered in cheese so not great for my taste but loved by others.
Bison meatloaf and scallops were the best dishes. Cabbage rolls were good but the tofu inside is the best part. Pork was also good.
The 16 layer crepe cake was amazing as well as the chocolate torte that’s also gluten free which is a big plus.
The server was very helpful in determining the gluten free dishes and options. All the staff were kind and helpful.
Overall a great restaurant highly recommended!
Fun, very tasty place for breakfast and lunch and dinner. The Dutch skillet was amazing, as was the blackberry creme muffin. The chocolate chip pannekoeken was more eggy than floury, which was fantastic for me, as I minimize my gluten consumption. Can’t wait to try their Muenster cheese curds, cabbage rolls, and more!
I walked over from the Mayo and asked what their dairy-free, gluten-free options were. They didn't have any. Disappointing because it looked like a lovely spot!
So delicious!! 10/10 would come back anytime! We started with pork dumplings and fried tofu. My group is still talking about how mind-blowingly delicious the dumplings were (being gluten intolerant I was not able to partake). The fried tofu comes with a generous serving and was also delicious. The kitchen nailed the slightly crispy exterior and soft interior that makes fried tofu most delicious. We also enjoyed the soju and other drink options.
For the meal we had 2 types of Bibimbap, Bulgogi, and Japchae and we all had food left over. We’ve just left but I’m super looking forward to leftovers already. All orders come with complimentary Banchan (small shareable plates), and several entrees include Banchan also. Banchan rotates and depends on what the kitchen has available.
The menu has some options for gluten friendly and vegetarian alternatives for specific dishes. I am gluten sensitive and pregnant and the server was very attentive to my dietary restrictions and needs. She made sure the Banchan that came with my meal were options that I could have and asked the kitchen to thoroughly cook the egg that came with my Bibimbap.
We were impressed with the level of general noise of the restaurant. There was quiet, pleasant music playing in the background and you could easily hear each other talk without having to raise your voice. We did sit near a side entrance door which left us a bit chilly before our drinks and hot food hit our systems.
