Jack Allen's is legit one of the best places in Austin. We've been a fan for years, and they've even catered our wedding back in 2011 when they used to do that.
Jack's menu has stood the test of time. Their specials are fantastic, and when they found out the margaritas has gluten in them (my wife is allergic) they even changed their recipe for it.
Hands down great value. You can seat 2 adults, two kids, appetizers, drinks, and dessert for far more reasonable prices than "trendy" places who either charge more or dont have nearly as good food.
If you don't like Jack's, your standards are wrong and I suggest you just move back to LA where at least you can feel important about it.
Lin Wu Asian is one of the best spots in Austin for gluten-free Asian cuisine. The food is consistently flavorful, portions are generous, and the gluten-free options are clearly marked and safely prepared—huge plus for anyone with dietary restrictions.
The only downside is the host or greeter, who can come off as a bit snooty or unhelpful. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does make the first few minutes less welcoming. Thankfully, the service improves once you’re seated, and the food absolutely makes it worth it.
Livid! They completely dropped the ball. I was referred to sweets treats by my wedding vendor. I was excited to schedule a tasting with them especially since I needed to find a vendor that provided normal cakes as well as vegan and gluten free. I texted the number and asked how to best organize my tasting since a member of our party (that was flying in for the tasting) required both a vegan and gluten free option. I was told it would be best if I ordered separate cupcakes on the side that were both gluten free and vegan. I was assured that whoever I was texting would make sure it was set up for my tasting. Two days before the tasting I ordered the cupcakes and once again wrote a note that they needed to be both gluten free and vegan. The morning of the tasting I got a call that the cupcakes were made gluten free but not vegan and that the baker was out for the day… The women on the phone asked if it would be okay if she looked for a vegan option… I said okay even though I know that wouldn’t suffice because I had to think about whether I would continue with the tasting and exclude half of my group… or if I cancelled our afternoon event all together. I was extremely frustrated having to tell family that flew in that we couldn’t do the tasting anymore even after making three notes about our needs. I will definitely be telling our vendor about our experience and how they may want to reconsider having them on their preferred vendor list. Especially since they couldnt manage hosting a tasting … I can’t imagine them managing a wedding order.
Great food, great gluten free options, and accommodating & friendly servers. Will definitely go back! I see the overall review is 4.3 which should definitely be higher. We’ve come here a handful of times and we haven’t experienced these negative reviews some have experienced.

This little market is so nice! It is very clean, very bright and cheery. The selection is excellent, and includes a few gluten-free and vegan products! I've never tried their cooking, but it smells good. The staff is fantastic... they once reopened the doors for me after closing because they recognized me! I live right around the corner, and I am so glad this shop is here!
I dine at Eurasia Sushi Bar & Seafood about once a week. As someone with celiac disease, I must be extremely cautious about what I eat. So finding a restaurant that takes my dietary restrictions seriously is a huge relief. Eurasia Sushi Bar & Seafood always goes above and beyond to ensure my safety and satisfaction, earning my utmost respect.
The waitstaff know about my restrictions and always bring me Gluten Free soy sauce and are knowledgable about substitutions and what ingredients I need to avoid.
Eurasia recently changed ownership. Despite the transition, the exceptional service I have always experienced at this establishment has remained unwavering and, if anything, has become even more remarkable. The new owners have elevated the dining experience and updated the menu with interesting, delicious new options (I couldn't try all of them, but my husband raved about them).
Additionally, the waitstaff at Eurasia are attentive, friendly, and genuinely interested in providing a memorable dining experience. They are well-informed about the menu and offer insightful suggestions.
In summary, Eurasia Sushi Bar & Seafood is an exceptional restaurant. If you live in SW Austin and have yet to try it - go today!
