Wonderful food, wonderful staff. The bowls are delicious and the portions very generous but we still found room for dessert. The chocolate cinnamon torte (gluten free!) was very tasty. We'll be back! (It would be good to add a changing table for babies and toddlers in the restroom).
Everything we had was very yummy! I’m vegetarian and gluten free, so it was awesome that they had both options readily available. The farmers soup was tomato bisque and it had great flavors! My boyfriend had the Mac and cheese and he said it was better than Beecher’s Mac and cheese, so you know it’s pretty good! We also enjoyed the potato wedges. We’ll be back!
Kendra is an absolute doll! We just started ordering Two Crows cookies for our cafe in Carrboro, NC and we haven't tasted a cookie we didn't like. Our customers rave about them and love that they are Vegan and Gluten Free and the one's we have do not contain soy, which is a plus for some! These cookies are a new grab and go staple at our cafe! Thanks so much for doing what you do!
SOOOO GOOD! They have a variety of foods to satisfy everyone's tastes, and budgets. Plus they have gluten free options! The clam chowder was so good that after trying mine, my husband and son decided to order bowls for themselves! Can't wait to go back!
Provide a variety of coffee, tea and pastry options (including gluten-free bakery products). 5 mins walk to the ferry terminal. Great ocean view with a sublime atmosphere. Not the typical tourist spot but a proud local owned business.
Ordered pretzels, bagels, gluten free bread, and cinnamon rolls for various wedding weekend festivities and they were all VERY delicious! Our guests especially loved how salty the pretzels were. Great working with Tom and team too!
Walked in on a busy Saturday night not sure if we’d get a table because reservations were full. To my surprise , we were seated right away. I am gluten free and restaurant eating can be tricky, however , silverwater made it easy! The sesame ahi starter was SO good, the gf pasta was amazing, and the gf mouse dessert was the cherry on top. 10/10 will return. Our server , Bob, was knowledgeable , kind and attentive.
Fantastic green curry, fried rice & pad see ew. First time eating at Khu Larb. Great flavor and spice was on point. The fried rice was some of the best I've ever had. Service was quick, friendly & excellent. Was aware of gluten issues and prepared my entree accordingly with no issues.

After being overlooked by Owl Spirit Cafe in Port Townsend, my husband and I quickly searched for a place to have lunch. To our delight, we discovered a small Mexican restaurant right next to where we had parked, and that's where we decided to eat!
The first thing I noticed was that the place was clean, at least based on what I could see. We didn’t use the restrooms, so I can’t comment on those. Our server, Riley, informed us that we could sit anywhere. She promptly brought us water and menus.
As I sat there looking through the menu, I noticed plenty of choices that caught my interest. However, I decided to opt for a "healthier" meal, as I usually do. While I was browsing, I glanced around the restaurant and saw that it was pretty full. One server was managing several tables and doing it so smoothly and with a friendly demeanor.
We placed our order after just a couple of minutes of waiting. I chose the Burrito Bowl Salad and selected cauliflower and vegetables instead of chicken, which I usually order with other meals. Plus they did offer a variety of protein options to choose from.
My burrito bowl arrived beautifully arranged, starting with a fresh layer of crisp romaine lettuce. On top of that, there was a generous portion of fluffy Mexican rice paired with hearty whole pinto beans. I opted to leave out the sour cream, but the dish was still bursting with flavor thanks to the rich salsa roja mixed throughout. To add a satisfying crunch and depth, the bowl came with perfectly seared cauliflower, along with sautéed onions and vibrant bell peppers. Overall, it was a delicious and filling meal that left me thoroughly satisfied!
My husband ordered Pescado Tacos, which are fish tacos made with wild-caught rockfish from Vancouver, BC. The fish was battered in gluten-free rice flour and fried, then topped with cabbage, chipotle aioli, avocado mousse, cilantro, and lime, all served on organic blue corn tortillas. He was thoroughly impressed by how perfectly the flavors came together.
Our server, Riley, was sweet and polite, making her an overall wonderful server. Early on, I watched her move around the restaurant, serving others with a smile. Even though the restaurant was almost at full capacity, she never seemed panicked and handled everything with grace.
We will definitely dine there again. We were pleased with both the food and the service!
La Cocina's location is 221 Taylor Street, Port Townsend, WA. It is situated right off Water Street downtown. Nearby places include O'Yummy Frozen Yogurt, Hanazono Asian Noodle Bowl, and What's Cookin' Kitchen Supply Store.
It's always awesome supporting a small business like La Cocinas, especially in such treacherous times of today.

"In response to the owner: Thank you for responding to my review! I appreciate it. The reason I gave a 4-star rating instead of 5 stars is that I've noticed the restaurant isn't fully accessible for wheelchair users. I hope this issue can be addressed in the future, as I would love for everyone to enjoy your wonderful establishment. I'm sorry I failed to mention that, as I was wanting to get this review out 😊"
Went here 6/24/24 and got the salmon curry and the rice Pudding! They did forget spoons/ forks but they have me some when I asked! It was so delicious, GLUTEN FREE and lots of salmon. The price was amazing for the area, great quality and was exactly what I was looking for after my long hike to glass beach. They have alot of choices, and I almost went with Tom kha cause that's one of my favorites, but I'm glad I followed my gut and got the salmon curry. So delicious, I'm definitely going to go back and try their other gluten-free dishes. Was ready 10 min after calling it to go.
Tried ordering again and the lady told me not to eat because it was NOT in fact gluten free, spoke to a manager and he informed me she was incorrect and ALL their currys are gluten free completely safe for celiac. I am celiac and had no reactions and I've eaten 2x now!
We came to celebrate my 60th birthday. Sadly we should have canceled and rebooked elsewhere after reading the previous reviews. The prices suggest "fine dining," but the experience was more like "pub." We got the bartender who was in another room and the room we were in was basically empty. We had to flag her down to order. The $15 salad was greens and dressing. The gluten free option for bread was some of the worst packaged crackers I've ever declined to eat. We got the steak dinner for 2, $58. We ordered it medium rare, and it came bloody. The server did not check in about the food, nor did she apologize or do anything to compensate us for having to flag her down and send the meat back twice to get it to medium rare. When the last piece came, I thought it was some sort of desert because the meal was over by then. Needless to say, there was no gluten free desert. My birthday dinner ended with the server singing, "This is your birthday song, it's not very long." That seemed like a pretty cheeky way to end a miserable meal.
Nice place a little dark for atmosphere. I had the crab cake hamburger w/ a gluten-free bun,and hse salad, it was very good. Husband had the Shrimp Capellini, was suppose to be spicy but had no spice at all and was very light of flavor & depth. Great customer service.
Chef Jason is awesome. His food is great and his professionalism is beyond words. He is very accommodating to adjust his menu to accommodate allergies and has Vegan and Gluten Free options. Highly recommend and we will be returning.
I swung by while traveling/in town and not only was the coffee delicious, but also... my jaw about hit the floor when I saw GOOD not pre-packaged gluten free items available! I grabbed a "brookie" and OMG. I'm still drooling thinking about it. I can't wait to stop by again!
Gorgeous coffee shop in a spectacular location in a beautiful building. Fast, friendly service serving delicious tea, coffee and pastries with gluten-free options. Check out the PNW museum and rowing boat hall whilst you're there!
We missed our ferry & were looking for coffee and breakfast to make the wait a little better. Not only did we walk into a beautiful assortment of freshly baked cookies & pastries, breakfast options, delicious drinks-the owner was so kind and friendly, she and her friend boosted our spirits!
I highly recommend stopping in to say hi, and grabbing a cookie. (Gluten free options available too!)
Thank you, Ground to Perfection!
Outstanding food, not greasy. Prepared with good quality ingredients and lots of vegan, vegetarian gluten free options. Friendly staff who are conscience about the environment. Saw one staff member bussing a table and she reused the unused water from the table to water the plants. Will definitely be back.
Another great gluten-free option. They have both bread for their sandwiches and buns for the burgers in addition to a gluten-free shrimp dish. Sean (our server) checked in with us the perfect amount of times.
The burger was so juicy and flavorful. The gluten free bun tasted great and held together. Best burger I've had in a long time. The tacos were a home run too. Steak fries were great with the homemade Ketchup, that I'm so obsessed with. I'm not a huge Ketchup fan. I bought a pint to bring home. I put it on everything. We bought a couple of hot sauces too, hubby loves those. We've been to that lighthouse tons of times, never knew this hidden gem was there. We'll be back. And we've been telling friends.
The banh mi's primary flavor was salt. The bread's texture was more like a hamburger bun than a French bread--having a less developed gluten--so it ended up pretty soggy and falling apart, similar to how barbecue gets served. Appropriate use of pate though. And the service was very good.
