I don’t think I’ll be returning to this cafe anytime soon. I ordered the Might Mushie ($22) with an added poached egg for an extra $3.50. However, I was disappointed to find only one egg on my plate, and the toast was extremely oily and soggy, having soaked up too much oil from the pesto. The mushrooms were just tiny crumbles, lacking any substantial texture. 😫 Overall, the dish was quite unpleasant. My friend is allergic dairy and gluten and she said that clearly to the waiter, unfortunately, she found some feta cheese on her plate of food, she had to stop eating and take medication.

We had a very disappointing experience at Retro Cafe in Hobart. The gluten-free toast was awful—dry and tough to chew. The avocado was bright green and hard, making it very difficult to eat. To make things worse, the eggs were bland. Even the lattes were too strong and not enjoyable. Overall, the food and service didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this place based on our visit.
