CC and our other server with the bright pink hair (apologies forgotten your name) were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere and look of the venue is great but if you are needing a gluten free option be prepared to feel excluded as there was nothing except the craft beer vender.
I have to say I expected way more from a venue that comes across as a modern and cosmopolitan food destination and hoped that there would be some venders providing some allergen friendly options but disappointingly there seemed little to no effort from them.
Despite there being no allergen info against it on the menu, I thought steak and Fries would be an easy gluten free option but when I asked the server at the counter I was blutlently told there is cross contamination on their grill and they can provide no gaurentees.
As I was out with family and didnt want to ask everyone to change their plans I thought to take a measured risk and go for steak and fries. It was over cooked for a medium steak and for £20 it seemed overpriced. To make things worse the steak and fries were covered in rock salt which took away any taste the food would of had.
I didn't feel comfortable returning my food given the way I was spoken to when enquiring about allergens.
The gluten free beer options were great, top marks to those guys for making the effort 😍

I booked htis for my birthday dinner because they had oysters (which were excellent) and gluten free past options. Besides the oysters, everything besides the oysters was pretty meh, to be honest. The steak my partner ordered was over cooked. The pizza my son ordered was under cooked, and my pasta was good, but nothing I could not have made myself. The chocolate truffles at the end were also very good. Plus, they make sure to route you through the bar before seating you, so you stat drinking early. The service was fine, but it was chaotic and loud.

We picked Sam’s Chop House for our first night in Manchester and it was the perfect choice. We wanted some proper local food, plus one of our friends has a gluten allergy, and they promised on their website they could accommodate it—which they did, no problem at all.
The food was amazing and came out quickly, but what really made the experience was the service. Our waitress, Jaye, was an absolute gem—super friendly, attentive and even took the time to give us some great recommendations for drinks afterward, even if the restaurant was packed and we noticed she was super busy. As tourists, that extra touch made all the difference.

I was wandering around Manchester, having not eaten the entire day. The time was creeping towards 18:00 (important detail) and I searched “best dim sum in Manchester”.
I entered this establishment and said “prove to me you’re the best dim sum restaurant in Manchester”
The kind host said “we don’t do dim sum past 17:00 but we welcome the challenge!”
Admittedly, I had to order quickly but a hungry man knows what he wants.
I ordered the salt and pepper chicken, steamed glutennous rice, steamed spare ribs and 4 different types of dim sum. I was blown away by all of them! The waiters are constantly paying attention to your table (I like that), and occasionally pass comments like “that food is ALL for you?”
I really enjoyed dining here and I hope to return here soon!
