I’m the most complicated individual in terms of how stringent I am with food. I look into quality ingredients, seed oil free, halal, sugar free, soy free, gluten free, grass fed butter etc & Huma & Fabian understood my language & concerns & we’re able to accommodate my every request 100%. This shall be my go to spot for late lunch or dinner. Restaurant that promote quality down to the ingredients is rare.
As a long time customer of True Food Kitchen - for more than 4 years - what initially interested us was the healthy non GMO, Gluten Free menu that does not use unhealthy seed oils (like Canola/Rapeseed Oil) in its food preparation. Since then, True Food has made some slight changes to its menus, including the use of controversial Vital Farms products as well as changes to its gluten friendly pizza dough and hamburger buns, however the one thing that has NOT changed - and is the best part of the restaurant: its employees. Ask for Chantal, Yuyu or Aaron - those are three of the best restaurant professionals you will ever meet! Their can do attitude, combined with their amazing ability to connect with customers is the REAL secret weapon at True Food Kitchen on PostOak. My family can eat at any restaurant in Houston, but we choose to eat at True Food Kitchen on Post Oak because we are always given excellent service and shown kindness when we eat there. Every restaurant should figure out how those three team members work, and copy it exactly - as a customer you leave having had a good meal, and GREAT service. Kindness, always served with a smile - and if there is any problem at all with your order, they are always quick to rectify the situation. You will never sit around with an empty glass of tea if you are being served by Aaron, Chantal or Yuyu. They always put the customer first - which is why, as long as they are working at TrueFood, we will always eat there! Give it a try - and ask to sit in their sections - you will have the best dining experience ever! Thank you Chantal, Yuyu and Aaron!!
Nice place but not the menu for me. If your a healthy food eater who really needs gluten free this is the place. I'm almost 100% sure if you fit the description I just listed this is the place for you.
As someone with celiac disease, finding safe and delicious gluten-free options can be a challenge, but Pondicheri absolutely delivers! Their menu has so many naturally gluten-free dishes, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. It’s such a relief to enjoy incredible Indian-inspired food without worrying about cross-contamination.
Everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting, making it a great spot for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. If you’re gluten-free (or just love amazing food), this place is a must-visit!

Great all around. I have celiac and when I told them, they made sure to cook everything very safely without cross contamination. Thank you! Will be back!
The food is delicious and the portions are generous, with plenty of gluten-free options available. However, be prepared for a wait, as there's usually a line and parking can be quite difficult.
This is a fantastic restaurant for anyone, but especially vegan, vegetarian and gluten free people. I have a gluten allergy and fit some reason they have a couple things on their menu that contain gluten.. One of their sauces, in particular, that seems strange to offer since it's not that amazing of a sauce? Anyway, if you have a gluten allergy, be careful.
The food and atmosphere are lovely. We love going to this place!!
Amazing food! I thought it was vegetarian and was so surprised to find out it was totally vegan and gluten-free! I truly didn’t miss anything. Packed with flavours and spices.
Cute decor. Was a little hard to find but totally worth it.
Great place. Highly recommend and we’ll be back.
Love this place. So many gluten free options, the food is good quality and the prices are really reasonable. The gluten free mango cheesecake is amazing! Not cloyingly sweet.
Very good food, place and people. My wife has a severe allergy to gluten and took really good care. Kudos to Katy who helped us :)
*I hope I have the correct name for her. Sorry if I'm wrong LoL

We just finished celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary at The Melting Pot and couldn’t wait to leave this review! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Our server, Andrey, was so friendly, attentive, and full of great suggestions. Once he found out I have Celiac, he made sure everything was safe and gluten-free — and did it with such ease. Honestly, the BEST gluten-free bread I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Every course was perfection.
The kitchen manager, Michelle, even came by to check in and make sure everything was just right, which meant a lot. The drinks were fantastic too — highly recommend the Espresso Martini and Tawny Port!
To top it all off, they surprised us with a “Happy Anniversary” card signed by the whole staff. Such a thoughtful and special touch. Thank you, Melting Pot team, for making our celebration unforgettable!
Wonderful crepe spot in citycentere with delicious options and very attentive staff! A little busy and a little on the loud side, but otherwise an enjoyable experience and worth a stop if you’re in the area. Expect to pay $20-$30 per person. They do have vegan and allergen friendly options on the menu such as gluten free and dairy free. Parking is a bit of a chore, and most of it is paid parking, but there is some free parking available if you’re lucky and willing to walk.
Food is good but pretty loud inside to have a conversation however we went on a Sunday morning and it was very busy. I like the gluten free options for the pancakes.
This Flower Child restaurant is definitely a fantastic place to eat and enjoy, specially if you are into natural and healthy eating. All dishes are made-from-scratch, catering to all lifestyles like vegetarian and vegan, meat-eating and gluten-free, as well as keto and paleo. To point out at a given dish, be it a salad, a bowl, a wrap, or any of the variety of mix-and-match veggies, grains, fruits and healthy proteins would be superfluous as ALL dishes are very well prepared and delicious. Of the several Flower Child restaurants I have visited this was for me one of the best ones. Great atmosphere and great service. I’m certainly looking forward to returning to explore the menu further!
Best place to drop in and pickup an easy lunch, a quick smoothie, and the best gluten free desserts in Houston. Also the most delicious holiday catering menu, recommend all their sides and they come in a Pyrex- so cute!
I’ve eaten at dozens of Ethiopian restaurants. This place takes a while to bring the food but it is extremely fresh and tasty.
The pistachio cake is amazing.
The blue Nile lamb special and doro wot are solid.
They offer the gluten free and non gluten free injera which is a solid win.
Doro Wot perfectly made. The right proportions on everything.
Will be back. A gem in Houston.
My friend loved the cardamom and cinnamon Ethiopian tea.
This is the best Dimassi's! We will definitely be back. Tons of flavor, tons of options, lot's of gluten free including dessert! Even my picky kid loved it!
If you need gluten free at Bush airport, this pizza was really good. Service was great though I don't know if they use dedicated utensils. Very delicious.
Crisp is super yummmmy !! I really enjoy their gluten free pizzas and I’m gluten free .
Love the drinks as well.
Parking isn’t bad which is good, solid three stalls in the bathroom . The music isn’t super loud , The outside is nice on a good weather day. Happy hour is the way to go as the GF crust is an extra
$6 which is steep tbh.
Great, friendly service from Leanna! She was able to discuss gluten-free options - difficult to eat out having Celiac but she helped us choose a delicious gf meal.
Highly recommend -
Staff were extremely nice and the environment was inviting. The food is vegetarian, and some were vegan and gluten free. It’s all quality and amazing for the price! I definitely recommend checking it out!
Green Seed offers vegan, raw vegan and gluten-free options. Their prices are reasonable.
I want to acknowledge how wonderful Green Seed is, for offering delicious raw entrees while I’m on a new path to health.
Everyday that we were in Houston for 7 days last week, Green Seed fed me. If you haven’t met MC yet, I recommend you stop by and say hi to her while she’s there during the week! 💚
I live in Austin, and unfortunately, there are no vegan restaurants that offer raw vegan options anymore, so I’m very thankful to have come across this restaurant.
The word DiMassi's was spoken and that's all that needed to be said. An all you can eat smorgasbord of delicious fresh food. There are so many choices for everyone. They can literally feed anyone on any given diet/way of eating: keto, carnivore, vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten free... seriously the one place friends can eat and no one has to sacrifice. So glad we stopped in, and being mostly healthy cuisine there's no guilt with the portions had.
This Jersey Mike's location went above and beyond in preparing our gluten-free sandwiches. The bread is stored separately in individual packages and cut with a separate knife. They even made the sandwich in a different area of the store without the additional toppings. I highly recommend this store if you're looking for a delicious gluten-free sandwich.
Postino is such a great place to have happy hour with friends. Their patio is outfitted for the Houston weather, so you can enjoy the ambiance of The Heights year-round. Their wine selection is massive, and the servers always have great suggestions on which ones to get. They also have delicious charcuterie boards and appetizers. The bruschetta is a must, and there are gluten-free bread options for those of us with intolerances! Five stars!
Vegan and gluten free and delicious. Fresh and amazing with great prices. Friendly service. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I don't think it is a language barrier thing about the gluten free thing, as some other reviewer said, as my husband is a Cantonese speaker and spoke to our server at length. I guess I will know in a few hours if I die from eating the noodles and dumplings!
Meek’s Vegan Pizza is incredible! The gluten-free crust is just as delicious as the rest of the pizza, which is saying a lot because the flavors are amazing. They’ve nailed it on both taste and texture. And don’t skip dessert—the vegan cheesecake is an absolute must-try! It’s the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone, vegan or not. Five stars all the way!
Great all vegan restaurant. Has alot of gluten free options. Plus can be ordered gluten free. Extra large portions. Omg i was so surprised at the portion size . Got spicy tofu and a side of brown rice . I will definitely return. Sooooo good !
My bbq mushrooms were perfect! Yams weren’t traditional like I was anticipating but my fried okra was good and tasted fresh. Collard greens were overly spicy. If I knew there was even a hint of hot spiciness associated with them I would’ve ordered a different side to try. I did not like my peach rolls at all. The texture was bad...very very chewy. I was told that everything on the menu was gluten-free so that made me happy to have a variety of items to try. I’d come back to try several different entrees. Many options on the menu were unfortunately sold out 🥴.
