Bellini, great atmosphere, great food, if you don’t have allergies. My friends and I went there for a birthday dinner, and my friend has celiac (she cannot have gluten). We were very clear with our waitress she had this severe food allergy, and when asked about the gluten free option our waitress said the was gluten free spaghetti. But when asked about the tortellini (spinach and feta), our waitress said they could make them gluten free.
When we got home, my friend started throwing up and getting very sick. At first we thought it was cross-contamination, so I called the restaurant. When I asked the man at the phone, he had said that was not the case and they cannot make the tortalini gluten free. He had asked for who served us, but we did not remember her name, just the area we were in. He had said she has been there for a long time now and there was “miscommunication”. I am not sure how stating someone (and who) has celiac that could’ve been lost in translation.
Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else.
