I used to love Billie’s back when I was only trying to avoid gluten, their desserts and baked goods are pretty good for being gluten free (even tho a bit spendy) but since being dairy free (due to allergies) Woah #GROSS!! If you are only trying to avoid gluten then the sweets aren’t too bad (but use caution as they still use powdered sugar, cream cheese, and a lot of fatty high calorie ingredients so not good if you’re trying to be health conscious) but if you have to be plant based their options are limited and seriously so disgusting I still can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Just because it is dairy free doesn’t mean it can’t be sweet and taste good, trust me, I’ve had many dairy free/vegan desserts that are SO good I had to call the place and double check because I couldn’t believe it. I ordered the plant based cookie dough bar, snickers bar and chocolate chip cookie. Both bars were dull In flavor, not sweet at all, and TOO many nuts like wow take it easy on the nuts and dates. The cookie was dry and chalky almost choked on it. I’m disappointed because options for dairy free are always limited and Billie’s has so much potential, your entire target market/demographic is very fond of eating with food allergies obviously or we’d be going to a million different places #crumbl!! But save your money and your appetite and DO NOT buy their plant based items!!!! Just make your own at home and they’ll be a million times better I guarantee it.
