Blue Duck Tavern

We had an excellent experience at the Blue Duck Tavern in Washington. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome. The host seated us in a small, more private alcove, a gesture we greatly appreciated. The restaurant is beautiful, spotless, and very well located. We started with a charcuterie and cheese board that was simply perfect. The homemade bread was absolutely delicious. Our meal was excellent from beginning to end. The grits were particularly flavorful. Our very experienced server offered excellent recommendations throughout the meal. Furthermore, my son has celiac disease, and the staff were able to easily adapt his meal, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful evening. The service, the quality of the food, and the ambiance were outstanding. I highly recommend the Blue Duck Tavern.

Really nice spot for holiday tea, with outstanding service from Allison, who was well versed in the wide variety of teas, and the rest of the crew. We liked the tower of sandwiches and sweets better than tea at the Willard. The Blue Duck Tavern easily accommodated Gluten-Free allergy. It’s a little noiisy but very comfortable setting.
