You always hear about the amazing beignets in NOLO but guess what are even better?!? Calas!! I found Cafe Calas when planning our first family trip to New Orleans. My daughter and I cannot have gluten so I was trying to find GF beignets. Instead I found this delightful spot. The owner, Brandon, was so friendly and gave us the fascinating history of the cala. We all really appreciated his passion and of course his delicious treats. The calas were fantastic as was the coffee and coconut water. My only complaint was that he wasn't open every day of our stay!! Definitely go if you are visiting NOLO!

Absolutely loved checking out Calas on our last trip to NOLA. Actually went twice in one weekend. Great experience both times, and a delicious gluten-free stop.
