This review was for a party of two without a reservation. Despite having kind staff, I have to rate my experience according to the quality of service and food. To give the benefit of the doubt I must also say that we came by at 11:45 am for brunch on a Sunday which is probably one of their busiest times. We waited more than an hour outside in the heat for a table. After being seated we were attended to rather quickly. The waiter was nice but didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered cocktails and our breakfast. The cocktails came out quickly but we waited about 40 minutes before the food came out. The paleo gluten free pancakes were terrible. I can’t sugar coat it. It was burnt on the outside and wet and mushy on the inside. It tasted kind of like a fried plantain. I don’t think it really qualified as a “pancake”. The waiter did take it off our bill though. Overall the food was ok but not worth the $110 we spent for two people to have brunch. Quite a disappointment. Perhaps the mandatory 20% tip for parties of 2 or more is because they know their food isn’t worth the price and their waiters probably would receive terrible tips otherwise? We don’t recommend coming here at least on Sunday mornings. They did not perform well today.
