Excellent gluten free fare including cannoli!

Dining out with Celiac Disease can often feel like a difficult challenge, but my experience at The Crow's Nest Restaurant stands out as an exceptional one. It has quickly become a favorite destination, and one I frequently recommend. Exceptional Service and Atmosphere The moment you arrive, the restaurant feels clean and inviting. The true appeal, however, is the stunning waterfront location. Perched right on the water, the beautiful views of the cove transform any meal into a special occasion. The entire staff is noteworthy for being consistently attentive and genuinely kind. Our server was knowledgeable and clearly cared about our experience, which contributed greatly to a relaxed visit. A Celiac-Friendly Haven For those with Celiac Disease, The Crow's Nest offers something rare: a truly inviting and extensive gluten-free menu. Instead of just one or two safe options, they provide a wide selection of explicitly marked "GF" items. Having choices ranging from appetizers to pasta, fresh seafood, and even burgers gives a real sense of freedom and security. The food is simply delicious. It's apparent the kitchen takes great pride in their work, ensuring that each dish is prepared perfectly and with the necessary care to avoid cross-contamination. Knowing my meal was safe and expertly prepared made the experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend The Crow's Nest for its excellent food, reliable commitment to food safety, and beautiful setting. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time that the gluten free scallops were over cooked, dry and the bread crumbs were like sand. The server told me to watch the plate very hot, but 15 minutes later when my wrist touch the dish I got burned, and that is why the meal was dry and gritty. The other dinner the fish, was also different, no taste at all. This is very disappointing since this was a go to place when we were in the area. Sorry to say since we can no longer enjoy the food , partially because of new owners, we will go more to are other 2 seafood restaurants. Especially since they have chowder as a side dish . Sometimes things don't change for the better. Than again nickel and dime never kept loyal customers. Been going there over 20 years.
