Good gluten free fish and chips.

As someone with coeliac disease I’m always a bit wary but the proprietor reassured me of the precautions he takes including completely separate fryers. I had the best tasting gf fish and chips since being diagnosed 15 years ago. I would heartily recommend their fish suppers.

My wife and I visited Driftwood and ordered Fish, Chips, Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce. The place has a seating area and a takeaway part. There were people waiting near a cordoned part of the seating area as if they were waiting to be seated. A member of staff did eventually approach us to say we could follow him to sit despite there being a queuing system as that was for takeaway food which was a little confusing. We made our order and they offer gluten free fish and chips which is great. We sat in our place with a pager which went off to tell us our food was ready from the collection area. We were also offered gluten free vinegar at this point as well. Wonderful service all round.The food was quite good, not unlike most chippy food you may get anywhere else. The biggest disappointment was probably the toilet. There was just one for customers and it was in a poor state when we visited.
