Fête

Fete lives up to all the excitement and positive reviews it has received. Our waitress walked us through the entire menu to point out what had gluten in it and what did not. My wife and I split the special beet salad with grass-fed local steak and the Biggie Small Koji-Brined Ludovico Chicken. The sauce on the chicken was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. One of the best meals on our visit to Oahu.

We had an enjoy lunch. We were seated in an overflow area adjacent to the kitchen which was marvelous. It gave us the opportunity to watch the chef at work and witness staff interaction. They were a great team. If we weren’t seated near the kitchen we wouldn’t have known the chef was a winner of the James Beard Award! Our service was exceptional and our food delicious. I had a beet salad that wasn’t on the menu which offered an interesting mix of greens avocado and beets. I couldn’t place the flavors of the dressings but enjoyed it. My husband had the Korean Bavette which I sampled and it was delicious. Gluten free options were available and food allergies were taken seriously. A pleasant dining experience!

We were already excited about this resteraunt for the food, but it was the service that really blew us away. We had a few dietary restrictions in our group and they were wickedly accommodating, bringing a number of alternatives for our gluten free member and triple checking dishes for the mint. Chris was friendly and attentive and knew so much. Definitely go for the fish and specials, but we loved everything. Thanks for a wonderful Anniversary, Fete!
