A small (8 people at a time), welcoming authentic place that runs solely by the woman who owns it. She was the most nice and welcoming, has very good english, explained us everything we asked about the food. The meals were delicious, the sake was perfect. She has a lot of gluten free options which was perfect for me. Don't miss this place!

This place is amazing! If you are in Matsumoto, you should eat here. It's not a place for groups or families, but if you are 2 or 3 people, go for it. You may have to wait a few minutes, as the charming lady who runs the place does it all solo, but you won't regret it. You sit at a bar and order from cards with perfect English translation. There are even gluten free options clearly stated on the cards, which my wife appreciated, and the proprietor even asks if anyone has any dietary restrictions before giving you the menu cards, which we thought was very unique for Japan! The food arrives sizzling hot from the grill and is absolutely delicious. And the woman who runs the place is lovely, friendly, efficient, and speaks great English (if that matters to you). I highly recommend eating here if you have a chance.
