This is the best Mexican food I have had since we left Texas in 1989. Authentic Tex-Mex. Great Mole sauce— the real thing! I have to eat Gluten Free (or die), and they have so many, many GF dishes, plus the staff actually know what GF means and can suggest and help me order. OMG, this is my favorite restaurant in Springfield now, bar NONE. We always get enough to take home an extra whole meal for each of us the next day. If you love Tex-Mex, you will love this place. Homemade tortillas— I had to ask TWICE about the corn tortillas (they were so tender and fluffy) to make sure they weren’t flour, the first time I tasted them. I haven’t eaten this kind of goodness since my friend’s Mexican Grandma in Dallas cooked for me. I’m not kidding. Great sizeable portions, too. The only truly 5-star place in Springfield!

I've gone to this location and the old one they had across town for many years, and they still remain my absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant. Not just in town, but top favorite xonsid ring any other place I have been. I'm a bit of a salsa snob, and theirs is the best around here if you like cilantro. The fajitas are a fav of mine, but I have had so many things there! It is pretty easy to find food there if you have dietary restrictions. I used to eat gluten free and vegan often, and they have many friendly options. I haven't ordered it in a while, but I used to often get the table side guacamole, so that I could choose all the ingredients. I used to get it at the old location that closed, but haven't at this location yet. If you see that option, get it! It's SO good!! The drinks are great, and reasonably priced. All-in-all, I absolutely love this place and very highly recommend!!
