My husband and I really enjoyed our New Years Eve meal at Fire & Ice. This was our first time eating there. I am a picky eater and it is hard to get steak well done that isn't jerky like. I saw a lot of old reviews frustrated about them being cash only. As of April 2025, they accept both cash and card payment. Pineapple and one other flavor is always on rotation. Their website is updated with location/flavor options.

This is the best Mexican food I have had since we left Texas in 1989. Authentic Tex-Mex. Great Mole sauce— the real thing! I have to eat Gluten Free (or die), and they have so many, many GF dishes, plus the staff actually know what GF means and can suggest and help me order. OMG, this is my favorite restaurant in Springfield now, bar NONE. We always get enough to take home an extra whole meal for each of us the next day. If you love Tex-Mex, you will love this place. Homemade tortillas— I had to ask TWICE about the corn tortillas (they were so tender and fluffy) to make sure they weren’t flour, the first time I tasted them. I haven’t eaten this kind of goodness since my friend’s Mexican Grandma in Dallas cooked for me. I’m not kidding. Great sizeable portions, too. The only truly 5-star place in Springfield!
