5 star all around. We came for a wedding but will definitely be back. Having spent a whole weekend Friday -Sunday night at the hotel and eating every meal there I feel like we got a good feeling for the place and we're really impressed. Friday night they were able to feed us as a whole party with ease and no fuss, everything arrived as expected and they allowed us to all pay separately. Handled it much better than so many restaurants I've been to that can't cope with large groups. They have all allergens marked on the menu which was really appreciated and they had a good range available for gluten and dairy free which was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their food and the staff were brilliant. Saturday and Sunday were more of the same, excellent staff, excellent venue, excellent food. Sunday we ate outside for lunch. If you want a roast you need to eat inside but pub food was available for the picnic benches on the green in front. A lovely place to sit and watch the animals wander by. We stayed in the self catering accommodation, all looks brand new and of a very high standard. I'd recommend for families as it was lovely to have space to sit in the living room and if you're on the ground floor there was a garden with chairs and a table. If you got both ground floor apartments you can open a gate between both gardens. If you're in self catering, breakfast is obviously not included in the price but we were able to pay to eat breakfast in the hotel no problem. Everything was so good, but final note, if you're looking for a wedding venue, it was brilliant, I'd very much recommend it. The big room for weddings was not too noisy with everyone talking which is appreciated and there's gorgeous gardens behind the pub. The wedding part is all behind the main pub so the pub could operate as normal and the wedding/ guests etc was all segregated behind with it's own bar etc which I liked. Ample parking, there was a min car park with Electric Vehicle/ EV charger as well as parking for the self catering next to that accommodation. Overflow car parking happens in front of the hotel. It was very popular and busy all weekend so I have a suspicion that booking a table ahead may be sensible or coming off peak.

First time staying here, we've eaten here a few years ago. Great location to get to all the beaches in the area. Thought parking would be a problem, but there's a separate car park for guests - so no problem! Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient! We left behind a bag at home with our phone chargers in, so a blonde member of staff kindly lent me one, which we could keep till we left today. We slept in room 10 in the block out the back which was lovely and spacious, nice hot shower in the lovely bathroom. We forgot our toiletries as well! So, were thankful for shower gel and shampoo. No conditioner though. Hairdryer, kettle, choice of different teas, coffee and biscuits - great for me as I only drink herbal teas. Partner liked the Welsh Brew tea bags, but not the coffee bags. Comfortable bed, 2 pillows each. Nice breakfast, fresh fruit salad, juices, cereals, yoghurts and cooked breakfast available, along with hot drinks. We ate both nights, first night in the bar and 2nd in the restaurant - both great! Food was absolutely amazing!! I had the lamb and partner the duck the first night - melted in our mouths! I had gluten free choc brownie with ice cream - the best I've ever had! Warm, chocolatey, soft in the middle! We both had the orange, ginger, carrot and coriander soup with crusty bread (mine was gluten free and warm!). We could taste every element, warming and tasty! We both had the sea bass with veg and new potatoes - in a beautiful, buttery sauce! I could've licked my plate! Delicious! Would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning again.
