disappointed as given the wrong food. asked about their gluten free options as i have coeliac disease, was handed a menu with gf options and double checked which sides were gf as well (bacon, sausage, hash brown). ordered gluten free scrambled eggs with these three sides after checking it was safe. when our meals came out i asked if mine was gluten free and they said “no it’s not”. they proceeded to take the meal away and prepare me a new one which i was happy enough to eat. the food was really nice and i do recommend, but just be careful if you have any allergies or intolerances to double check you have the correct meal. i hope this establishment improves this issue and training of staff as it can be really unsafe.

I came here with some friends for dinner on Thursday night. My friend has been wanting to try it but I did warn her the service is bad and very reminiscent of being in Paris. But the food I had last time was good so I was happy to tag along so she could try the restaurant out. When we arrived for our booking we waited at the sign that says please wait to be seated but no one came to check on us until my friend walked into the restaurant to grab someone’s attention. Already at a bad start. I had noted that someone in my party had coeliac disease on my booking, so they provided a gluten free menu where they marked items that were GF friendly or could be made GF, however we then noticed they had given us the breakfast menu. I find it’s always hard to get someone’s attention for assistance, so we had to guess what COULD be GF friendly while we tried to get someone’s attention for the GF all-day dining menu. We came here for one thing and one thing only: the mussels. The waiter came back to tell us there were no more mussels but then came back and told us there was a miscommunication and that we WILL be having mussels. When we had finished our entrees, they said our mains are ready to come out, they came back a few minutes later to say there were no more mussels, so we ended up only having the special fish and buttered greens, as our moods were bad already and we had lost most of our appetite. When we asked for our bill, they had charged us for the mussels that we never got, which they immediately took off the bill. No one was outwardly rude, the service was just unprofessional, people would expect better being in such an iconic building.
