This style of cooking, increasingly difficult to find even in modern China, showcases what we see as the true spirit of Chinese cuisine. The restaurant, run by the descendents of Mother Chu, who lived to the ripe age of 97, preserve these culinary traditions. The protein options are varied and well-executed, ranging from wheat protein (gluten) to soy in its various forms. The food itself is flavorful and beautifully presented, demonstrating a clear commitment to quality. The service was enthusiastic and warm, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. The decor is appropriately Chinese, featuring handwritten texts that enhance the overall ambiance. However, one area that could use improvement is the restrooms. They could benefit from some sprucing up to align with the high standards set by the food and service. Overall, we were very impressed with this restaurant. The authentic cuisine, the warm service, and the unique experience make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking traditional Chinese vegan food. We hope the restaurant will address the restroom issue to further enhance the dining experience. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. Such a fun burger place. I was a little skeptical at first that they could prevent cross contact here but they have an open kitchen and I watched the whole process. They changed their gloves. Cleaned off the flat grill (although they don't put any buns on it anyway). The fries are also safe and cooked in a dedicated fryer.

Amazing coeliac experience during the lunch run! When telling the waitress, they clearly outlined which meals were not GF, which meals could be made GF by substitution or which were already GF. Before I even got to double check with another waiter who later took our order, he double checked regarding the need to have seperate pasta water. They then informed us to ensure that the GF pasta was cooked correctly, it would take a little while longer, but was no real issue and only a matter of minutes. The Scallop Entree was also made GF and so were the gelatos we ate afterwards (lemon & rosemary, rhubarb & Cointreau and pistachio). All to die for! Nil reactions, amazing quality and flavours, Fantastic knowledge regarding GF and cross contamination.

The burger was amazing! The hamburger patty tasted like high quality meat. I had the gluten free bun and it was really good too. Definitely go if you want a burger. My only complaint was the bathroom. Super stinky.

What a lovely venue to celebrate in with a perfect high tea. The service was excellent and the food was great. Also, a wide range of teas to choose from. What was impressive also was the offering of gluten-free and dairy free alternative menus. I highly recommend this venue.

Naim made our day! Good service, food and atmosphere. Probably mostly visited spot near Opera which is a good place to chill in the afternoon. Even during the hot sun hours customer service welcomes you within a smile. (There’s gluten free options for pizzas)

Dined at Ho Jiak town hall several times, including a few lunches. And in my opinion is the best of the Ho Jiak group (although the oyster clay pot rice in Chatswood was delicious. This Friday, it was my last stop before heading home from a very long Friday lunch. The family requested Ho Jiak for dinner and I obliged with some take away. The service is always friendly with a good sense of humor. The food is fast and incredibly tasty. My regular dishes are XO puppies with crispy vermicelli noodles, barramundi with ginger and shallots or chilli sauce and the vegemite short rib- phenomenal. Some of these dishes are gluten free, which is essential for my family. If you are looking for something different. Something you cannot replicate at home and will have you craving weeks later, go to Ho Jiak Town Hall. The service, cocktails, food will keep you coming back.

Nook is my trusty go-to local cafe for lunch and coffee catch-ups with work colleagues and business contacts. Most recently, I hosted a team lunch with 15 people at Nook. The Nook team were super helpful arranging pre-ordering and speedy food delivery to our table. They have an extensive menu full of delicious meal and drinks options and are great at catering for dietary requirements, specifically gluten free, lactose free and nut free. I'll definitely be back in the new year!

Disappointing given the $1,200 bill. Service was slow—we waited 45 minutes before being asked if we were ready for food, and drinks took 15 minutes to arrive. Despite paying for 10 people after a last-minute cancellation, the portions for 9 were lacking (e.g., minimal bread, small servings of chicken which was pink, and a shared dessert). A gluten-free guest, despite a month's notice, received almost no food but still paid full price. Additionally, beer prices weren’t listed, and staff could only give a vague price range ($12–$20), which is not in line with consumer pricing regulations - should be reported to ACCC Upon providing the above feedback, management used security footage to confirm the exact pieces of bread and chicken provided..... be so fr

Absolutely disappointed with the $35 Prawn linguine pasta. It was VERY watery and the Linguine noodle was overcooked, no taste at all. Not even an exaggeration. 4 prawns and watered down pasta is not what you are expecting when you pay $30++. Definitely the worst pasta I have ever seen and tasted. Avoid at all costs. Although service provided by the wait staff was good. Hopefully they improve the quality of the food being served. They do offer gluten free options on the menu. However, was not able to try it. Will not be coming back.

We recently held our wedding reception at Kitchen by Mike, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the start, communication with Ellen was a breeze, and they were incredibly accommodating with all our requests, including a gluten-free and vegetarian menu. We went here for our office's Christmas meal. The Christmas meal has some diversity, including vegan and gluten-free options. The service was also decent. Overall, will return to sample their regular menu.

Excellent restaurant! We went here during our visit to Sydney and had a wonderful experience. We ordered numerous dishes and enjoyed each and every one of them. Service was great and restaurant was able to make several vegetarian and gluten free dishes which were also delicious.

Love this place! Really authentic and interesting italian food. Really exceptional in terms of gluten free options. The service is always top notch and my partner and I have been several times. A little disappointed that the a la carte menu has been removed since covid. Please bring it back!

Their $22 Express Lunch from on Monday-Friday 12-2pm is amazing value 🤑, as the it also includes a drink (either a glass of wine, a schooner of tap beer or soft drinks) 🤩! Henley’s used to be Beer Deluxe in the past, but it has been revamped now & the place looks so nice with a chillax vibe… perfect for lunch or dinner/drinks! Chicken Parmigiana was massive and yum 🤤! I had it with Young Henrys Newtoner Pale Ale (my fave beer - however there are plenty of beer options!) My friend had Togarashi Pumpkin Bowl, which was yum too 😘 Outdoor seatings available, QR code ordering for convenience & great for group dining. They’re also Kids friendly (kids menu available). Plenty of Vegetarian menu, with Vegan & Gluten Free menu are also available.

Clam Bar is every bit as delicious as it looks. The service is incredible—the perfect balance of friendly and attentive, which gives the whole place an easygoing warmth. Couldn't have been more accommodating of my gluten free needs. The whole experience was impeccable. Cannot wait to come back.

Great breakfast buffet with many different choices: pancakes, French toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, baked beans, hashbrowns, potatoes, truffle mushrooms, breads, pastries, cereals, fruit, salad, yoghurt, veggie and fruit juices, dumplings and pork buns, gluten-free baked items, etc. You can order barista coffees, omelettes, fried eggs, sliced avocado, or oatmeal with your server. The price is high of course, but cheaper than some of the other hotels in Sydney. A couple times we had a server forget to bring a coffee we ordered, but not a big deal.

Lovely noisy close truly authentic Italian restaurant. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable, understandable servers. Beautifully presented generous food off a tempting varied menu. No Gluten Free pasta options as it is all hand made home made but there are plenty of other GF meals. We had a beautifully cooked Atlantic Salmon with steamed veggies and mushroom risotto. We left before dessert & coffee because it just got too boise and we couldn't hear ourselves think!! Well worth a visit!!

MuMu was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! I am gluten free and had the best experience. The menu initially does not indicate GF options, however, waitstaff informed me exactly of what I could eat, and that they were happy to make modifications to meals to suit me. About 95% of the menu is gluten free which I was delighted with! Before going to MuMu I hadn’t Sweet & Sour Pork for 5 years, this dish was worth the wait!! Staff were so lovely, along with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Wine list is great, with knowledgeable staff to assist. We recommend MuMu to anyone visiting Sydney! The Nasi Goreng, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Crispy Eggplant are a must!

My mother and I had a lovely experience at Adria bar restaurant today!! Laura is a wonderful and attentive server who made sure we had everything we needed. There was multiple gluten free options and Laura let the chef know about dietary requirements so they could be more careful with cross contamination. The portions are well sized for the price of the meals and there is spray bottles situated on tables for any pesky seagulls 😆. Overall a very lovely experience!

Really nice spot for morning tea looking out over the water. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. They have a number of gluten free options, and their cake portions are definitely generous! They have a variety of milk options, but no lactose free.

Let me tell you…. We are visiting Sydney!!!, following reviews I suggested to dine at Abode Bistro and we struck luck, the gluten free meals were incredible, grandchildren were spoiled by the staff, they were very nice , eager to help us with two very active boys. As I have mentioned above, the quality of the meals was excellent, plenty of gluten free options and the chef happy to make adjustments to the menu in order to satisfy coeliac people!! Thank you for a lovely night, I cannot forget the wonderful cocktails!!
