Rice bowls are surprisingly good and also gluten free (celiac safe)

Went in for our anniversary last night and it was amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal. My wife is a celiac so we had some questions about the menu and she never missed a beat. Food was exceptional and they did a fantastic job with no cross contamination with gluten for my wife.

This is a long review. Food was awesome, came with a party of 7 4 adults plus 3 kids so I can't vouch for thier experience but for me it was ok. Service was prompt and helpful, we had an issue with one of the sides being too spicy for the children and they corrected it they also helped with one of the qluten free kids and made sure it was all gluten free. Only issue with Service was they gave us the wrong bill which was corrected shortly after. Now for atmosphere it was dark and dingy, knowing this place is a staple to Victoria Bc tourist and locals and makes probably good money considering it has been here a long time! I would think they would atleast clean it better and maybe brighten it up. It literally smelled like the urine like the parkade next to it, the ceilings looked like they were spray painted with mixed colors from a punk rock venue. That being said it is still a very good spot to eat and I would 100% go back as the food is worth it.
