This family-owned authentic Italian restaurant might just be the best food I have ever eaten. Everything about our experience was perfect. The small restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, the service was fast, all of the waiters were kind and professional, and the food was immaculate. We had the pleasure of meeting Paul (“Junior”), who is friends with the owners and helps manage the restaurant. I have a severe nut allergy, and Junior was very understanding and compassionate with my concerns. This restaurant is very accommodating for people with allergies. While it was recommended that I stay away from the dessert menu, I was reassured that none of the entrees served in this restaurant have any nut products, in an effort to be more accommodating to a larger group of people. They were also accommodating for a gluten-free option for my friend, who ordered the chicken parmesana. The chicken in this dish is dashed with a bit of flour, and the kitchen had no issues with avoiding flour for my friend’s dish. The chicken parmesana tasted incredible both with and without the slight breading. The menu here is small, and it is clear that this bold choice has served Nonna’s very well. They have absolutely perfected each of their dishes. I guarantee this food will be some of the best you have ever eaten. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the home-made marinara was absolutely delicious, the pasta was incredible, and the alfredo sauce was divine. Junior was helpful, kind, and personable. He was training new waiters, and it was clear that he was establishing a very professional and kind group of waitstaff. Everyone here was wonderful. This restaurant has automatic gratuity that is shared equally between all of the waitstaff, as many of them visit your table throughout the night. The price of the food and the automatic gratuity is WELL worth it. We did not encounter a wait, but if you come across a wait time when visiting, I can guarantee that this place is worth every second.

Not authentic or high quality. Fast food American version of Italian food. I’m sorry this isn’t real Italian food. I’m guessing the five stars are all from tourists a who have never been to Italy and/or never had authentic Italian food. The menu is very small and high priced. I was thinking that maybe they really focus on a few dishes to make them spectacular and that’s why they have such few items. No not the case. The highlight is the location on an old street, but we were very disappointed with the lack of flavors in the dishes. The first sign of failure was the out of stock Pellegrino. How can an Italian restaurant not have any sparkling water? Instead we had still water served in the plastic bottles, no glasses. The food was very plain. My shrimp scampi tasting nothing of the ocean or sea. It was very bland and the pasta needed salt. The sauce was probably all butter or maybe some vegetable oil blend. Definitely not any EV olive oil. The bread was the classic American high gluten rolls bathed in a garlic oil and Parmesan powder. The spaghetti meatballs were heavy and the spaghetti again lacking any depth of flavors. No fresh grated Parmesan, just the powder style served in plastic containers. 20% tip will be included so don’t count on getting great service. To eat like this in such a beautiful charming historic town is a mistake. Save yourself the trouble and try another spot.
