I have now dined at this restaurant 4 times since November and I drive an hour from Manchester TN to dine here. I just had dinner there with my mom last night and I can say every time I have dined at this restaurant, we have incredible servers and waiters who are very attentive and so friendly. My mom is gluten free and the waiters are always cognizant of this. I know most people want to write in about a poor experience, but I can’t sing enough praises about O-Ku and how it’s worth the hour plus drive every time. 10/10 experience every time! Thank you ❤️

One star taken off because you got rid of your best dessert ever! Why did you get rid of the chocolate molten cake with miso, chestnut and ice cream? We are big fans of Oku and we eat there at least 2 times a month and always finished with this dessert. Myself and my teenage kids. So that’s 3 people who used to get this item which equals a lot of extra money tacked on our bill which is more profit for Oku. And my husband would always get an after dinner cocktail. Now we don’t get dessert. And my husband doesn’t get an after dinner cocktail because we don’t stay for dessert. The chocolate molten cake has been replaced with a terribly dry gluten free item that is not even edible. So disappointing. We still love you Oku but please bring back the chocolate molten cake with miso, chestnut and ice cream.

We loved our experience here. While sitting at the bar, Elena was the most attentive bartender we’ve ever had. She went above and beyond to create a drink for me that wasn’t listed on their menu. She also made great food recommendations based on my gluten allergy. The Shogun signature roll was our favorite along with the sugar and spice cocktail and the brûlée dessert. So happy to have this place right around the corner ♡︎
