My wife has celiac and ordered a burger with no bread. The burger came to the table on bread. She explained that she cannot eat the bread because she needs to eat GF and that an entirely new burger would need to be made because the bread on the burger ruined the meat for her to be able to eat. The waitress said OK and less than 5 minutes later, the burger reappeared without the bread….obviously the same burger that sat on bread that would make her sick. The waitresses are very young and obviously have no idea how sick this can make someone with celiac. Either management needs to seriously train staff or be more present when someone with celiac is ordering food from this establishment. I suggest anyone with celiac that requires GF food stay FAR away from this restaurant. Shameful.

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants but recently I was so disappointed in a menus change that caught me off guard. I am gluten free not by choice but for health and Old Glory was always so accommodating with their menu so I could go with family and friends and have Mac and cheese, burgers and sandwiches on roles and an overall great experience. I went this week to find a new menu with no gluten free options and was told things have changed. It is unfortunate as so many people suffer from gluten allergies, for those who get very sick I understand the complexities of supporting gluten free to be safe for them but for many a gluten sensitive environment is ok and an acceptable risk. This is not a bad review just being put out so other gluten free people are aware and hopefully may let the owners know that something as simple as a GF roll means a lot to people.

**not celiac or gluten intolerant safe** I wanted to be fair and give 3 stars because the staff is very sweet and answered all my questions when we have come here. I am celiac (allergic to gluten) and so when I see GF on menus I get excited to try them because dining out can be difficult. Claims: *Gluten free bun- unfortunately the burgers are cooked on a communal grill that has gluten placed on it so even if you pay extra for the gluten free bun your burger will be cross contaminated with gluten from other items. *gluten free crust- although the crust may be gluten free, it is placed directly in the oven without another pan to separate it from other gluten containing pizzas, therefore it is no longer gluten free. Overall very disappointing that I had nothing to choose from on the menu, even the gluten free claimed items.
