I am gluten free and the food was lovely and the service was great and the wine was really nice too

Most horrible dining experience in Australia. I had booked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday thinking we would have a nice dining experience but instead they completely ruined my day. Upon arrival, the front of house person was poorly presented, unhygienic and unfriendly. I let that go initially thinking we would enjoy the food in this expensive restaurant. The menu is misleading and they try to rip you off. We paid $90 per head plus extra for a side and drinks. The minuscule-sized entree was too salty and the olive oil for the bread was very sour. I am unable to eat gluten (coeliac) and asked about the main that stated it was gluten free yet listed a wheat based product. She said they would replace the wheat based product with another alternative. The chips were also not gluten free despite stating that on the menu. When my main arrived, it had a tiny serving of barramundi and two very small burnt/black pieces of broccolini. I asked the waitress about the gluten free alternative that I was supposed to be offered and she said the tiny burnt second piece of broccolini was on the plate. I said the dish already came with broccolini and there was no extra provided. I also showed her how tiny the barramundi was. She didn't listen, cut me off and rudely spoke over me. She then went to get her manager (the mean-spirited front of house lady). She said the same lie and did nothing to fix the issue. I reported the poor communication from the waitress and she just said, "I find that hard to believe" with a nasty attitude. I then felt so uncomfortable and disgusted with the poor dining experience and horrible customer service that we left without even eating our mains. We cancelled our dessert. I will never set foot in this venue again and the people running this place need to learn about what quality food is, serving sizes appropriate for adult humans and basic common decency when speaking to customers. I would give zero stars if I could.
