Definitely recommend the upstairs lounge on a Friday night for a romantic evening out with live jazz music. ❤️ 🎶 Service, ambiance, music, vibes: alll GREAT. Food: Good. We tried the octopus appetizer, lobster risotto, wine, cocktails, and espressos at the end. Server and kitchen were very accommodating and knowledgeable of gluten-free options. Seating: Grab some stools at the full-service bar for a last minute decision to stop by. Or plan ahead and reserve a table. The band is set-up near the balcony, in case you want to request a table closer to the music. Dress: Upscale casual. There were some beautiful dresses worn and smart slacks. Didn't see anyone in shorts and flip-flops.

'Detailed' is the word to use when describing the menu functions of Pa'la. Though Pa'la mentions wood-fired grill, you will discover much more when eating here. Part of the discovery lies in the understanding of how and why their menu changes so frequently. They select foods that are going to be at their peak, as many foods have seasons or times of the year where their flavor and mouthfeel may be higher. The freshness of the foods selected is evident, cooked in high quality extra virgin olive oil (I have to keep reminding myself that it is known as EVOO for short, lol.) When visiting, I noticed the high prices on the menu, but our server explained about the process by which the food is sourced and cooked. Well worth the visit. I asked about gluten free options, and the server was extremely confident about how most menu options could be made gluten-free. It can be difficult for restaurants to coordinate allergen awareness and train their staff, this restaurant takes pride in their employees knowledge. The beef tartare, Japanese sweet potato, and pork belly were ordered. Many of the menu options are served in tapas style, so the foods were shared. I arrived hungry, but left feeling full. One thing is certain, each bite should be carefully taken, take the time to feel what the food tastes like, and savor the experience. You will leave satisfied and fulfilled.
