Pier 6 Rooftop Bar & Restaurant

They have very little knowledge of their gluten free menu options; I have celiac disease, and I was very open about this when ordering my food. They brought out my burger and the bun looked eerily similar to everyone else's; I questioned it and was reassured by the waitress that it was a gluten free bun. It wasn't. I was sick for days afterward. The manager assured me that they would train their staff to prevent this from happening again, but once I get sick like this, I don't give the place another chance.

The four of us wanted a unique lunch place before heading to the beach. Pier 6 is a great option with great location and awesome views from the rooftop. We were greeted straight away and sat with a view of the bay. Our server Jocelyn was awesome and took great care of us. The recommendations she made were spot on and she even catered for one of gluten free guests we had. This is a must try for the atmosphere, food, service and awesome views. Come for sunset and you have a great seat to watch from. We come to Erie often from Pittsburgh and this will definitely be a place on our itinerary.
