Ristorante Ottaviani

Stopped in here just last night while we were in Cumberland as part of a Pittsburgh to DC e-bike ride. What a great experience. The mussels appetizer was absolutely fantastic, with an excellent sauce for dipping bread once we were through with the mussels themselves. For an entree I did the Abruzzo Pork Ribeye, which was one of the best pieces of pork I have ever had. It was incredibly tender and absolutely a joy to slice right through. The cheese finish around it was excellent well. I was with my dad and he enjoyed the Lamb Chop lollipops, which were perfectly cooked. I was too full to even try the gluten-free cheesecake on the menu, but I have a feeling it would have been great. We ate at the bar, and the service was attentive and helpful but not overbearing. Highly suggest this place if you're in town.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Ristorante Ottaviani and had an excellent experience. The restaurant offers gluten-free options at reasonable prices, which was important to us. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, right in downtown Cumberland. Our server was attentive and friendly. I asked for gluten-free bread before the meal, and the server brought a warm, toasty loaf that was crispy on the outside and soft inside—perfect with the olive oil and seasonings. For the main course, I enjoyed shrimp in a rich gorgonzola sauce with perfectly cooked asparagus and mushrooms. My wife ordered a half portion of pasta with meatballs, which they happily accommodated—something more restaurants should offer! We finished with a rich gluten-free cheesecake. The food was flavorful and generously portioned, the service was great, and the prices were very fair. I highly recommend Ristorante Ottaviani for anyone seeking tasty, gluten-free friendly dining in a charming setting.

This is the only place for me! The owner is a great guy, plus all of the staff is always A+ service. The outdoor dining, the gluten-free options - pizza! Sinatra is always croning as you slip back into another era.....Where am I? Sicily in 1963?.....
