I moved to DC four years ago, right as my celiac disease necessitated going completely gluten free. From the first day, I remember people recommending Sanctuary. I could not tell you why it took me so long to finally visit but I did today and I regret not coming sooner. I spent easily $100 on everything that I could hold: dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, cake, brownies, muffins, and chicken strips... and I'll gladly do it again! Boy howdy, that chicken is some of the best chicken I've ever had. It would drive me to do devious things, like turn a community college into an organized crime family just to get some more.

the best gluten free pizza i’ve had in my life and it’s an authentic Napoleon style! the owner is so nice and checked on us our first time as gluten free diners, the pizza is prepared separately but there is gluten in the kitchen so keep that in mind ~ i’ve never had a reaction at verde or had a reaction with delivery - highly recommend!
