SUSHI KORIN Nishiazabu

My wife and I had one night in Tokyo in our travels and made a reservation at Sushi Korin. Our flight was delayed and we had to miss our reservation. We notified the restaurant that we would miss our reservation and Chef Masatomo responded with one of the most remarkable acts of service and kindness we have experienced from a restaurant. Chef Masatomo, his wife Aiko, and one of their staff members hand delivered our sushi to us at 1 a.m. at our hotel near the HND airport. The sushi was phenomenal and this has become one of our most memorable and shared stories from our travels. Additionally, my wife and I unable to eat gluten which makes an omakase style sushi meal quite difficult. Chef Masatomo went above and beyond to ensure our sushi was delicious and safe for us to eat. We cannot thank Chef Masatomo, Aiko, and the staff at Sushi Korin enough. We will certainly return (and this time to the actual restaurant) next time we are in Tokyo!

Awesome meal and hospitality. I wanted to give my celiac friend the opportunity to enjoy a omakase and this place was perfect. We enjoyed the meal throughly without my friend feeling limited by her dietary restrictions. We were also surprised with the amount of courses and went home completely full. Looking back at my pictures I counted 30-32 courses? I lost count. Beyond the quality seafood, the husband and wife running the restaurant are kind people. When the owner noticed we didn’t have umbrellas and asked if we would take a taxi, we told them that we had simply came unprepared and would take the subway. the owner end up giving us spare umbrellas and walked us out to the entrance to say goodbye. I recommend this restaurant to anyone whether they have a gluten intolerance or just want a great experience. To the owners of the restaurant, thank you for giving me and my friend the best omakase experience!

We celebrated the final night of our honeymoon by dining at Sushi Korin and had a wonderful experience. As others have mentioned, Masamatomo Korin speaks good English and was able to accommodate my gluten allergy. We will be recommending this spot to all our friends who visit Tokyo.
