San Sabino

Tricolore salad was amazing which is why I gave 2 stars. Service was awful. Beware if you have any dietary restrictions. My server was so confused when I said no crustacean and I said no shrimp, crab and lobster but other shellfish was fine. He then proceeds to tell me that I can’t have the spicy tuna or the vongole which is incorrect. I’m also gluten free and my server first told me that they could sub out any of the pastas with gluten free pasta. Then after about 20 mins after placing the order, he tells me that they couldn’t make the vongole gluten free but the chef said that they could do a gf sausage pasta so I decided to accept that one. What shows up to my table about an hour after sitting down (and after my apps and drinks came) was a plain gluten free tomato pasta with no veggies or protein / sausage which I did NOT order. I was so disappointed so told the server there was a mistake and all he told me was that “yes I confirmed with the chef that this is the VEGAN pasta” to which I responded “could you double check that this is NOT vegan but actually gluten free.” He proceeds to tell me that what he meant. I was too afraid to eat the pasta as I wasn’t confident that it was gluten free and because the servers didn’t want to double check with the chef. He also didn’t offer to swap it out or give me a refund after tested one strand of pasta but decided not to risk it and didn’t touch my plate after that. Our server also ghosted us after that and didn’t clear our plates but told someone else to. It ended up being $400 for 2 people including tip. I won’t be going back except to take the tricolore salad to go.
