Sappe

Our waitress was Gift G and she was great! Helped us navigate the menu with a nut allergy and gluten allergy. The food was delicious!!

I keep coming back to Sappe for the overall experience that is always greater than the sum of its parts. The cocktail program and bartenders including Kay are excellent, and so welcoming, even if you’re not dining at the bar and just having a drink before your table is ready. The cocktail menu and concept is such a vibe, as are the interiors all around. The food is always delicious, but to be consistent is even harder than making something delicious once or twice… the dish is executed well every time. The skewers are always cooked perfectly even with so many different textures and cook times to get right, and their Soothr x Sappe menu is a great way to try food from their sister restaurant. The hospitality and coordination is also way above the price point… I had a guest with a gluten allergy and they sent me a note before our reservation started with the menu options that she could order without gluten. I can’t say I’ve ever had that happen at restaurants that are easily five times the price, and it was such a thoughtful touch. During a dinner last winter, they offered free coat check and it was coordinated really so much better than many Manhattan restaurants, they were genuinely happy to make our experience more comfortable. Also, with tables the size they are in this city, sloppy or inattentive table maintenance can have empty plates or cocktail glasses piling up, but Nice S took great care of us and we never had to worry about making room for the next course or another drink. It’s never amateur service. Sappe is such a solid choice all around!
