Six Mile Chop House and Tavern

We arrived around 1:45pm on Saturday. The hostess seated us in a booth near the bar and the bartender was also our server. When we arrived the tavern room was not open and there were about 2-3 other parties in the restaurant. I felt sorry for our server because he was making fancy cocktails, waiting tables, and bussing. He was very polite and helpful. So the rest of my review is nothing against the server...he was great and doing his best as the only staff member on the floor. Positive - lots of dairy free and gluten free options. Positive - friendly server Now the negatives: 1. We ordered the calamari appetizer - it came out but had two medium length dark hairs cooked into the batter. See: COOKED INTO & NOT OUR HAIR 2. It took forever to get our food. The appetizer took awhile but the entres took a long time. At least an hour. I had a chicken sandwich and my son got shrimp scampi with linguini. Neither should have taken more than 20 minutes. And they weren't busy. We got our food at 3:00 pm. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad but it wasn't so amazing that it was worth that wait or that price. Around 4:30 pm, I had a major stomach ache like maybe I did end up getting gluten or dairy in my food or something was just bad, but I probably won't be going back again.
